Is it true that not only have to pay for the general admission to get inside the convention but also you have to pay a lot more to the actual tattoo from the tattoo artist?
Yes, this is true. The cost to get in varies from convention to convention. But the Artists also pay for their booth space as well. They don’t make any money from the actual convention. They only profit from what they charge to tattoo or items they sell at their booth.
Carlos torres is one of the best out there while being incredibly humble wich is something very rare in the industry. Glad he's doing good now he went through a tough time
What is Chucos book called? I wanna read more about this Chicano inspirational person, he has inspired me so much in my personal tattoo journey for real man.
I’d say without tattoo artist people would find less safe ways if tattooing themselves, Ik some people will be like tattoo shops aren’t that sterile sure if you go to shady shop in a bad neighborhood, but every shop I’ve been to has been top notch sterile and clean and have always used an autoclave to further sterilize the unopened tattoo needle or for piercing’s the piercing needle, clamps and jewelry!
To my knowledge RU-vid has restricted and or taken down videos that mention it. It doesn't make sense to me, but I didn't want all this work to be potentially taken down so I played it safe.
Great video. The one and only GTCharlie. I met him in 1975. I took one of my friends to get a tattoo. At that time I was in the Army. Those days were the best time of my life. Keep sending great content. Peace😎
This young man is articulate and very well spoken. I could not stop listening to him tell his story. Also in my opinion, he told many of our stories , (as far as our culture goes. ) Growing up in the early 60’s , when we entered public school, it always felt like we were expected to make a choice on how to identify ourselves We were only allowed to check one box- I always checked two American and Hispanic😂I have always stood my ground, I was proud to be both. Chuco has a very rare gift - he is an old soul and is very passionate about what he believes in. One thing for sure is he is on a completely different level. I’m definitely sharing this video and buying his book. Thank you for sharing his story- much respect.
This is the pure essence of 'don't judge a book by its cover'. The pages in this dudes story runs deep and his ability to communicate his experiences are well beyond what most humans can verbally contextualize. I don't have any tattoos, but I'm now a fan!
This guy has to be close to 50. And not one gray hair... amazing !!! I'm guessing that we're roughly the same age. Same state. Same region...SoCal L.A. SFV. I'm jealous!
