Sorry, but it's possible to avoid damage in the dropping squares part at the beginning by jumping in the water. Good work, but you took avoidable damage.
Coolest boss battle in the whole series. Getting hit in all directions and dealing with new threats constantly. Plus the greatest theme in the whole game...turn it up!!
Can't believe I finally found this game, I've played it as a 10yo when I got my first PC!... It took me chatGPT to find it, I described it as a chameleon game lol. Kudos to the uploader!

In that Matriarch Hook Horror ambush, my party was wiped twice before I used a chock point (my tank blocked the door of the previous room; also suggested by redeemslove in another comment). Although I was a bit pissed initially, it is rewarding to find a good strategy after. nb : Normal difficulty, using the Enhanced Edition community mod.
