I love hardcore. Love FEAR. Also - Motown, soul, classic rock, blues, even dig some the classical stuff from time to time….and more. Music doesn’t need boundaries. Lee can sing whatever the fuck he likes and luckily for us he does it well.
The film is brilliant great cinematography by Robbie Müller, Gary Oldman’s theatrical debut, great soundtrack. It’s not a documentary just Cox’s take on the story. One of the 80’s best and a solid 10.
1983 was a great yr for me. I was 13yrs old and in 7th grade. Met new people from the neighboring city and made punk rock friends, my age. And Black Flag was one of the bands that helped kick start my way of life. Sofor all you old dudes like me that say," yeah,i was into punk, but i got old". Its ok. You can still listen to punk now and then. You'll still be an old fart at the end of the day😉...Mr.AST class of 1989. Cheers from Bridgetown CA SGV/USA 🇺🇸🎸⚒️🎤🧰🍻✌️🇲🇽
I saw this great thing in the liner notes for one of their albums, maybe Untidy Suicides, that said, "I must have the blond guitar player in Alice Donut." Obviously mocking the type of fan who can't tell the difference between a guitar and a bass. A bit like the slacker meth head in Better Call Saul who said, when the title character was offering legal services for 50% off, "50%? That's almost half!"
