In this game a Alabama player jumps off side and a flag is throwing. The announcers says it's a good thing that the player name is not called out. Yet later on in the game these same announcers start talking about a Miami Hurricanes player who got suspended. They call out his name and say he was suspended and sent packing home for violating of teams rules. Such Hippocrates
As a Sooner fan, this era of OU football was absolutely amazing. Dominating defense, which the 1985 team is still considered one of the greatest ever defensively, and a relentless wishbone attack with a deep threat from Keith Jackson, one of the greatest tight ends ever(1 in 4 catches were for touchdowns). From 1985-1987, Oklahoma lost to only one team....Miami. And it happened 3 times in 3 years. The only reason Oklahoma got the National Championship was Tennessee randomly beating the Hurricanes this same night. Such a fun time to be a fan of Oklahoma.

I watched this game with my late father-in-law. I hated Nebraska back then. I was young and hated living in Omaha. I grew up and actually ended up graduating with an MBA from UNL. I'd love nothing more than to watch one more Husker game with my father-in-law.

Thisbgame was a MASSACRE, it really was worse, but the referees spared Ohio St many times during the game, however the Refs couldn't save them from whooping they took.
I love the wishbone offense, but it needs a viable passing attack to make it go. The quarterback needs to give 100 plus passing yards a game. Alabama ran the wishbone the best under Bear Bryant. They were able incorporate a respectable passing game within it. Oklahoma had much better athletes, but were never able to do this.
I’m a Nebraska fan, but Oklahoma had the best athletes in the country and all of college football for decades believe me they did just fine running their wishbone. I hated these bastards but they ran that wishbone pretty much perfection believe me they didn’t need to really do much different because they could’ve won about seven national championships by Barry Switzer was their coach. They did win three and could’ve won three or four other ones And I watched it firsthand because I’m a husker fan and we should’ve won six or seven national titles and we didn’t win because we’ve lost close games to them sooner. What’s crazy about this is that Bob Costas talks by himself for the first 5 minutes. It’s not until 5:40 your head another voice and it works well. His flow is effortless.

As an Auburn fan, this one hurts a lot. We had two miracle plays in back-to-back games, we went from 3-9 (0-8) to 12-1 (7-1), did all that just to lose with less than 30 seconds left. Honestly, this hurts more than the last play in Super Bowl XLIX. Man, even ten years later, it still hurts 😥.
