Cool camera work. Did you get underbody pro for your OBX? I've got the stock and am looking for it. I'm keeping the stock obx wheels but when the tires need replacing I'll go with something a bit better. But I do want to add underbody pro so I can relax when I go off-pavement.
Thanks! I don't have any skids yet and I have done some damage to the cardboard under there. I just go slow for now plus I'm usually paying half my attention to the drone 😄
This is a 2021 and they didn't have that package yet unfortunately. I sold the wheels that came with the OBX and put on 17" steelies. It was the cheapest way I could get 245/65/17 ko2s on and honestly I think they look nice painted black.
What GOAT mode did you have it in? Was it a traction problem, or a power problem. Do you think the Badlands could have handled it -- if so, due to 4 vs 3 cyl engine, or the extra differential locking setup and stuff? Do you have underbody protection?
I tried normal first, then sand, and then slippery at the end when I made it all the way to the top. But at the top of the hill I lost traction on my front right and back left so the traction control was working overtime, and then it overheated. I got a "4x4 temporarily disabled" warning at the top of the hill and I was stuck in 2 wheel drive. It was also 110 outside this day which might have contributed. The badlands has a liquid PTU compared to the air cooled on the OBX and therefore probably would not have overheated. It also has duel rear clutch for a "locker" of sorts. I do think the badlands would have made it. Power wasn't the problem, traction was. I do think that with a spotter, on a cooler day I could probably make this hill. But it's defeated me twice so far.
