Why is it that you stock the river but the government gets the "rod fishing license" fee? Are you affiliated with government? You see the fact the rivers are stocked is how they claim a right to ask fishers to hold permits, even then the fish must be put back in the river. Is fishing to eat illegal now? Do you think it's right that people should have to have permission to fish the rivers? Back in the day fishing to eat was a God given right, now it's a government given "privilege". Why are we allowing governments take away our God rights (Free) and offer them back to us as "privilege" that comes with a price tag? Are we all stupid/retarded or something? While I don't agree with fishing as a sport it is your God given right to do so, fishing to eat should NOT be a privilege with price tag attached. If we swap God given rights for government given privilege we have made the government our god, we no longer stand under Gods authority, we stand under governments authority.. we put a corporation (dead fictional entity) as our god. Are we really this uneducated, misinformed, idiotic that we would rather be atheist and pay for all the things that should be free? A tax is a debt that will never be paid off. When we are in debt we're slaves to the creditor until that debt is paid off... We are slaves to the government as taxes will never be paid off, we have to pay our masters for the privilege of being alive. Every license/permit government privilege is a God given right removed.
I'd like to see more actual fishing videos on the Ely, with some suggestions as to best spots for which species, and hints and tips on how to approach fishing for them. We have a number of good rivers here in South Wales, but are very underrepresented in terms of media (particularly RU-vid) exposure. Surely rectifying this would encourage anglers to visit our rivers more often, the effect of which would be an exponential interest in fishing here and a boost to the local fishing economy. Just saying. R.

Great to see the club using the services of AE Fishery boys.👍 Andrew knows his stuff. What were the conclusions of the stock levels? Would be interesting to know.
Brilliant news for the River Ely and well done all on the stocking and getting it sorted for the years to come. Sadly the comments and taking the piss let you down🙄. You should be above all that😉. Despite that well done and I hope it all pays off.
