@@everythingguitar6247 if you have done the test in the video with the string guage you will always use and you won't change that it will likely be fine. If you want the ability to re intonate for different guages you will want as much play as possible in the saddles. I also wonder if this fully checks the intonation as the neck is not under full tension of all the strings. Usually you would set neck relief, string height and finally intonation. If the string tension pulls more relief into the neck the two string intonation will not be accurate. Hope that helps.
@@timothyritchie5290 dude, that seriously means a lot coming from you. Thanks so much. I'm really enjoying it. I hope you noticed that I'm even using my pinky 🤣
@sensei1888 thanks, man. I genuinely think that this is the first time in -- years of playing that I've actually stuck at something for more than 2 days. It really works.
@FinnleyWann it does, but some folk might just think it makes the sound louder and quieter, without realising that it completely changes the tone and level of distortion or overdrive. I guess that was the point of the video. Maybe obvious to mist people, but I guess it might be interesting for some. Thanks for commenting. 👍
Are you doing a quick hammer-pull on the last beat? Or are you picking each note? I advise the former. Makes it easier to reset your picking hand for the palm muting on the next beat.
@@cbrindle91 Hi, and thanks for commenting. I'm downpicking every note up until the last beat, then I pick once and hammer on and pull off the 2-3-2-0.
It's taken me an hour of humming the chorus to figure out what the "Tim wrote another song" melody reminded me of... Marcy Playground's "Sex & Candy" ("Mama, this surely is a dream").
@@TheRedBook I've just tried playing it with the open G. It does sound much better. It's weird that just about every tab video or website has it with the 5 on the D string.

@@everythingguitar6247 You are, of course, free to play it however you like! I'm not saying that either way is right or wrong, I was just saying that they l play it open. Like I said, it sounds amazing when you play it anyway 😁
@DEADN8 thanks. I just watched it. I think you are coming in too early, and mine is closer, but hey, thanks for collabing (if that's even a word). Some of the comments are pretty shitty. People can be dicks, particularly the ones without their own content. They're just here to criticise others. Thanks for the video.
@@everythingguitar6247 I'm mostly just messing with you. But, the notes are right. You're just off beat. Also, you're supposed to keep tremolo picking the single notes in between the chords. Last thing, you were late on the last section. You're supposed to come in a half measure early on the last one.
@DEADN8 the timing is funny. In the original recording, unless I'm mistaken, there is a slightly longer gap between the first and second riff the second time it is played.
That sounds really transparent! Nice! Keeps all the dynamic of the amp and guitar and pushes the gain. Very cool. If it were me I would have it as an always on pedal to push the amp to a crunch and put a drive in front of it. Alternatively I would have a crunchy/gainy amp and then use it to push into a overdrive or lead sound. Good buy I reckon. Nice work.
Reasonably difficult to hear as pickup into amp and into phone mic. I think you can hear that the PRS pickup is more focused to the kind of EQ response you would want. I also think that although it is more focused it also gives more dynamic range and subtly where the other two just kick out a fairly homogeneous signal.
just got it. it is really comfortable to play indeed. looks great too. You obviously dont get the tonal versatility. But nothing a pickup swap cant fix!
It's ok for a beginner, particularly if you want to play heavy stuff, although the active pickups make a lot of noise. Harley Benton do loads of other cheap guitars. If I was just starting out and looking for a guitar, I would probably buy a Squier strat with a humbucker, or a cheap Ibanez.
