It doesn't help when you go to the doc, get bloods done and even though you see the results are tagged, the doc says, 'everything is fine'. Only for you to find out years later, that everything is NOT fine.
Beware folks! Dark chocolate is extremely high in OXYLATES. Causes kidney stones and are hard on the kidneys regardless. So take it easy on the dark chocolate, milk chocolate much, much lower in oxylate content.
I've been doing low carb, not keto for 3 months and have lost 25 lbs but yesterday I had labs and my A1C was 4.9 but for some reason my urine showed I had a level of 80 for ketones. Is this bad? Why is my ketones so high?
Regarding the Glycemic Index of Brown Rice, Chat GPT says the following: "The glycemic index (GI) of brown rice typically ranges between 50 and 55. This places it in the low to medium GI category. The exact GI value can vary based on factors such as the specific type of brown rice, how it is processed, and how it is cooked. Foods with a GI of 55 or lower are considered low GI, meaning they have a slower, more gradual impact on blood sugar levels."
Thanks for your information. I am a follower of your channel, and have watched your channel for several years. However, I notice there is flickering in your recent videos. Have you change your camera settings recently? It is very irritating to the eyes. I hope you can adjust this technical problem.
That study by Dr Sara Seidelman would demonstrate that replacing carbs by animal proteins is not ideal. Vegetable is better. On the long term it appeared that less than 40% or more than 70% of your energy out of carbs is suboptimal. Getting 50% of your energy from carbs would prolong life by 4 years. The ridiculous comments of the commentator in the video are not part of the study. The study also admitted it's limits in causal correlation. My 5 cents... Eat what makes you feel good, happy and satisfied. Those 4 extra years past 90 y old are not that important.
My 12 square 80% dark chocolate took me 6 months to finish. I only eat whenever i remember and ha ha. Now that my 1 and only Cacao tree gave me 4 pods, I started the process and soon will have my own 100% dark chocolate ..(i hope i can make my own right) ha ha
@@Chicago48 97% dark chocolate comes with a minimum of sugar. Once while baking a cake l decided to cut a small slice of the unsugared baking chocolate. It was disgusting.
I am on my first full day on the libre 2.... Not impressed... It is NOT a cgm as advertised. I had a dexcom years ago and that provides a reading every 3 minutes. There is no way to calibrate the L2. The sensor readings are about 10 to 15 points off. Its basically a meter with alarms...... which makes no sense..If it's able to detect a low or rising levels, why cannot it display readings like a dexcom?
Dr.ignore those you tubers who tell you to keep it short. The complainers stating that should just get off your channel. Dr. keeper doing what you are doing by bringing us medical info we need.
