Yes this one is home made. The mass produced stuff is good but is safely powered. With this stuff I push the limits alittle more and get some good thump outta it lol

The 10tw3 is an unreal sub for the size you will definitely hear the difference! Enjoy!

Feel ya, going from spare wheel sub (150w) to this bad boy 10tw3 paired with a 400w amp. My focal midbass was going louder and lower then my spare sub haha.

@@saneknLol! Yep, I’m in the same boat brother. The little 8 inch 150 watt I got in my 4Runner does extremely well for what it is. But my door speakers are drowning it out. Can’t wait to try this TW3

Do you mean use aluminum instead of wood? I do not see why not but I have not done it. I would take some prep work to get the resin to stick to the aluminum.

This one was around $4500. I do sell the odd one more of a hobby. Just fun to do.

With the Amp behind the plexiglass no chance of it getting wet unless you are upside down which then you have bigger issues. Lol Inside there are holes into the enclosure to allow for wiring and when the 6 1/2s hit provide enough air movement. No Amp has ever overheated yet. Also class d amps way more efficient and create less heat then a class ab.

The weight can add up depending on how much equipment is in it. The enclosure only weights 15 to 20 lbs empty

Definitely worth in. I have put them under the rear seats in pickups and they sound amazing with small enclosures. One of my favorite subwoofers

The cloth is just a fleese blanket and the liquid is Fiberglass resin. Nothing crazy.

It definitely has some weight to it. This one did once come 1/2 down after a 50 foot flat landing didn't hit anyone but bend the mounting brackets. Which now have been beefed up.

I have abused and over power the tw3s for many years and in many projects and have not been disappointed yet. It work awesome for a shollow sub! Good luck with the build.

Yes its a Jl xd 700/5 400watts powering the 8 speakers and 300 watts on the 2 8 inch subs.

It depends on the system some have a distribution block behind a speaker that power and fuse the led lights, Bluetooth controller and other accessories. If just the Bluetooth controller I usually just tie it into the amp power wire.

@@cbauman222 right on, also on the boxes are you enclosed all around? I put a 12 in mine and seem to be getting a pretty good thump outside up top. Almost like not enough back spacing

Even in Canada the 10tw3 retail for $500. But for a shallow mount sub they are hard to beat.

If using 1 sub then the dual 4 ohm is great as you can wire it to 2 ohms. The 700/5 are great but I have always wanted a little more. This video has a rd 900/5 which is alot for a single 10tw3 d4 but it absolutely slams. My video for the 4 seater has a xd 1000/5 on a single 12tw3 and you need to be careful as it can be too much power. I will have a video shortly with a xd 1000/5 2 10tw3s and 8 6.5 c2s and it powers the sub effortlessly. It is the sub in the slomo video. Thanks for watching!

Thanks! Most of it is available at a hardware store. This resin was from homedepot and the fleece was a blanket from Walmart.
