Phil Collins went overboard with this movie. He didn't just make the whole soundtrack, which is excellent, he also adapted and recorded all of his songs in multiple languages. The guy is insane

Im so excited thank you!!! I’ve been meaning to rewatch the first To All The Boys with ur track but the one movie only comes in the trilogy pack…is there a single version on the patreon shop? Anyways, fantastic video as always, you two are such good singers!
Fun fact: My algebra teacher in high school is related to one of the animators for this film and his baby picture was used as a reference for baby Tarzan.
3:55 fun fact! This type of animation was the most difficult, expensive, and time consuming animation process and just this scene alone took forever. However, this style of animation was used almost entirely for the film “treasure planet” which flopped heavily and was one of disneys biggest money losses at the time. There’s a lot of reasons as to why it flopped, but it didn’t deserve that tbh, because it’s such an amazing movie
Ppl forget that the Disney Renaissance period was called that for a reason. Each of the movies during that period, except maybe Rescuers Down Under, was a goddamn marvel of what could be down with animation at that time. Hell, I may just be misremembering Rescuers even. These movies are straight up beautiful, leave you wondering how the hell is this hand drawn, and hold up even today, some 30 years later.
Was literally on a PMI binge the last few days. From the Saw films, to the Halloweentown films, to Spider-Man films. 😂👌 All I’ll say is this, Tarzan is a classic than should never b remade, n Phil Collins absolutely cooked w/ this soundtrack. 🤣🫶
hey eric! just dropping by to say its my birthday on Saturday and a greeting from u would mean so much 🥹 (even just a cake emoji from u i'd be like: 💃)
wow i didn’t know i wanted to watch Eric and Co sing along to disney Phil Collins this badly but the second i saw the notification for this I knew Eric would pop his pussy so hard for Phill Collins
Tarzan is the best disney movie soundtrack, no question mark needed. Strangers like me is a damn masterpiece. I haven't even started the video, but I fully expect enthusiastic singing from Eric.
There has to be a scientific study on how certain directors frame shots so that kids don't notice the incredibly disturbing things happening on screen until they're adults. Like the knife hits the ground and is in the foreground of the scene, naturally drawing your attention to it. Tarzan lands after that but he's in the background. He stays crumpled up for a second as the lightning flashes, which reveals Clayton's body. But, you're still watching Tarzan because he hasn't really moved and you want to make sure he's okay. Only after the lightning fades, does Tarzan move and lift his head, showing that he's fine. If you aren't actively looking at the background, it is really easy to miss. I think adults know how to take in more info at once so when we revisit stuff like this it's honestly startling to realize that yes that really has been there all along. (Also....I wouldn't be surprised if the hanging corpse was removed for when it aired on Disney Channel or Toon Disney.)
