Hi, you have a beautiful layout, exceptionally well modelled. Thanks for taking the time to film and share. I am about to start modelling the great northern railway in scale, being inspired by videos such as yours. Kind regards, Richard.
Still working on mine. Starting the trees and forest floor. There are several good Douglas Fir videos, real tree resources, on RU-vid to refer to get Geoff’s look and authenticity. This is still the best work ever. Provides a level to strive for. Thanks again.
I saw this light rail on another video(Catchpoints). Okay, this is privately owned but is it open to the public? And where in Lake MacQuarie is it located? I'd like to visit one weekend and record this system for my *Trams & Trains* RU-vid channel.
Thanks for an excellent video. In fitting parts such as dynamo, whistle, regulator and safety valves by Ozie Detailing Parts/Kerobi is it just a case of removing the existing units and drilling appropriate holes to mount the alternative parts without removing the body of the loco. I asked a well known fixer of locos to make the alterations but they advised it was beyond the normal fixing work. The hands of an 89 yr old are not what they used to be. Ken Durham
I take it this is one of the Empire Builder sections when the train is split in Washington state. I had not seen any photos of the train with 1 E7, express reefers, and the heavyweight combine tail car before.
G'day Gerry, there's a big difference isn't there. I've heard that Mashima motors are going out of production, where did you get the $4.00 motors from?
A very nice video and layout. I have plans to expand my own HO scale layout, though as I'm somewhat limited on space, I don't believe it will be quite as large as this.
Great long runs due to the very large size of the layout. Scenery is looking good. This layout will keep you guys busy for a long time. Smoothness of track work is excellent. Thanks for posting.
Great layout......the rivet counters will have noticed the lack of a "match truck" behind the tender of the 30T with the Victorian Railways VLX (??) behind......hahaha
Fantastic and complicated track. Really amazing. I recognised a couple of people who have visited my layout which is nothing compared to Newcastle to Fassifern. Cheers Ken
That was in the early days - the camera can record to a micro SD car on board - OR - transmit through WiFi to a phone or tablet. On board recordining is very good - WiFi to tablet has a bit of a delay. This was a test of the WiFi.
