I paid 100 quid for a rep, had it 7 years now and it hasn’t missed a beat!! I wear it for work, I’ve dropped it on numerous occasions, it’s been soaked in hydraulic oil, washed with degreaser (to get the hydraulic oil off) and it’s been through a wash cycle in our washing machine (was inside my overalls) why pay thousands of pounds??? Rolex are no better than any other watch, it’s just had good marketing.
British travellers don’t get duty free at UK airports any more on luxury goods. Sunak got rid of that joy. If you are not British this might be different.
@@davegreen2009 there are UK ADs holding the white swing tag too. It is relatively common for watches to not have them, only really matters with something like a John Mayer, Everose SkyD Blue Dial, Olive Day-Date.
I have a real SUB but I also bought one of these replicas from MAMACOO for piece of mind if I go to another country or if I am doing activities that can damage the watch. I don't see anything wrong with that.

Funnily enough, MaMaCoo 's replicas are perfect for people who can actually afford a luxury watch. Because in those social circles, it wouldn't matter and everybody would just assume it's real. You have a yacht and a beach house in Tuscany, of course that replica is real. There isn't a millionaire out there going around with a jeweller's loupe to scrutinize their acquaintance's watch. They'll just go "Oh is that a Patek? Nice, I should really get my hands on one of those, they look great."
Why would you pay many thousands for a Rolex if the whole point is to parade it and give off the rich man vibe when you can do the same thing for a few hundred ? People who try to play rich men's games always lose.

These guys are probably why Rolex tries to weed out the hucksters just trying to flip a watch, but in the process a lot of good buyers get caught up in this
buy a superclone vsf or clean version... then buy gen parts and build a frankenstein. Reality is there are so many gen watches refurb with aftermarket parts its sick.especially in MIAMI
I don't think I'd ever buy a rolex from ebay. I just would never be happy that I had a genuine watch I'd much rather visit a reputable watch shop. Emphasise the reputable watch retailer.
can we normalize, when showcasing a rep product, showing the authentic product side by side and not saying things like “the bezel doesn’t sound authentic” without providing context for what the authentic looks/sounds like?

Unfortunately I’m someone who fell for a scam on a watch was buying a datejust 36mm, good price as it did need a service I paid 2.5k the watch came with authentic box and even paperwork the booklet card everything was authentic from what the jeweller I went to get it serviced at told me, his technician even showed me how he knew the box and paperwork was okay, but he said upon opening the watch it was when he seen it wasn’t genuine it just didn’t look correct and was missing the Rolex branding, the date wheel had running on some of the numbers he said 28 and 31 were blurry, the serial number on the watch case didn’t match the paperwork, and the movement itself felt cheap although it looked authentic, his words, so he declared id been scammed, I got my money back luckily but still it was brutal
Not to nitpick your review but the box is not right for the watch. The box is from the mid 2000s and the watch is 2010+ on. I know because I have both types and as soon as you showed it I knew it was not the right box for the watch. 2010 and onward were much larger boxes!
