Great reaction (and the ReactorHub worked perfectly, thanks). The song is almost 5 years old. It was on BABYMETAL's 3rd album Metal Galaxy released in 2019. It is certainly one of BABYMETAL's more 'chill' songs ... but you know as well as I do that they do everything. That's one reason their collaborations all work so well as they are so versatile they can do pretty much whatever style and match up with whoever they are collaborating with. Tim Henson and Scott le Page from Polyphia (yes the 'ph' is like an f - as in graph) provided and recorded the guitar tracks for the original recording of the song. Fox_Fest was the first chance they all had to meet up and to finally do this very first live performance with them all together. They did it again at Graspop in Belgium and it seems BABYMETAL will be featured on a Polyphia track on their next album too.

welcome back Rob-Metal, I don't recall if you remember this song from Metal Galaxy, 2019, but it was debuted Live at Legend Metal Galaxy Day 1 in 2020 with the East Kami Band, and only played sparingly since, but not too long after this performance (1st and 2nd times played together) they got together for a 3rd time at GrassPop Festival and for future reference, Tim and Scott both confirmed that they did another feature for BM and are going to feature BM on one of their tracks.

Great reaction Rob. This video is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the launch of their first album, 'BABYMETAL Death' was the first song on the album. They had not played it live since 2017, they couldn't really use it with just two official members after Yuimetal stopped performing and eventually left. This performance was on 2nd April 2023 - the first concert with Momometal as an official member, so 'BABYMETAL Death' was back ... I don't know if you heard the crowd cheer particularly loudly when she introduced herself as "Momometal desu".

My favourite memory of BABYMETAL Death was witnessing this epic introduction song in Toronto last September during the Babyklok tour to see all the Dethklok fans with their jaws dropped on the ground as all the BABYMETAL fans were jumping up and down shouting death - death - death at the 3 adorable ladies on stage. 😂 It was an awesome start to a night that I'll never forget. 🤘🦊🤘

Welcome back Rob, great reaction. 🦊 The title doesn't translate easily as it is a made up word 'Metali' (or 'Metari') which is a fusion of the words metal and matsuri (festival). The song is about a Metal Village holding a metal festival, so they have included all the matsuri shouts everybody would be calling out as encouragement to the people carrying heavy floats etc like "Sore, Sore", "Dokoisho" and "Wasshoi!". They are inviting us all to dance - I am reliably informed there is something in the lyrics (I think in Momometal's kabuki section as well) about we are all idiots or fools - the idiots who watch and the idiots who dance ... so as we're all here and we're all idiots why just watch, we may as well all dance. This performance was filmed at the NEX_FEST events arranged by Bring Me The Horizon in Japan around the start of November. Wherever they played on their tours last year the crowds were all getting low when Su told them to - you have to obey the Queen and do as you're told.
