My name is Melissa and I'm a zero base budgeter. I'm married with two young children. My husband and I both have full-time jobs. We combine our income into one account. We make all of our payments from that account. We transfer an allowance (blow money) and gas money from our joint account into our separate personal accounts. We have been budgeting this way our whole marriage (13 years). I recently discovered savings challenges. I think it adds fun to our budgeting system. I'm all in....budgeting, stuffing, saving, and repeating!!!
Hi Melissa 💜great idea to put the money in vacation vs upping your Christmas savings...out of sight, out of mind. The Nickelodeon resort sounds like so much fun, the kids would definitely have fun there.
Good morning Melissa!! Amazing stuffing and holiday savings! It feels good to fully funding holiday categories. I have used receipt apps as well and super excited to use them for Christmas shopping too! Can’t wait to see how much rewards you got ❤. Great video my friend!
Thank you Kathy!! be more intentional on my finances has really paid off… I never even considered that apps could make a real difference until last year!! I greatly appreciate you being here!!!
Good morning Melissa! 💜 Way to go with completing your savings challenges! That feels good to be ahead of the game, you can focus on your holiday preparation. Great video! 😊🌺🐝
As a teacher, thank you for being so supportive! So sweet of you to save for that! So nice to finish up your Christmas savings- hoping that proves to make the holidays stress-free! 🌷💗🌸

Thank you thank you thank you Kay! I greatly appreciate you celebrating with me!! You’re such a great supporter!! You’re a blessing to this community!! I’ve narrowed down my giving to mostly gift cards… so I’m just on a hunt for those good gift card deals that BJ’s has from time to time!! I so appreciate you💕💕
Hey Melissa 😊 This past Friday, I finished one of my 🎄 challeges for $300 I am. I'm working on the next holiday saving Challege for $650 I'm trying to hit a little over $1,000 for 🎄 Congrats on your finished challenge 👏🏾 You keep me motivated!
Sis not you already started Christmas shopping 😂😂 You are on a roll! Already finished the challenge and started shopping. I want to be like you when I grow up!!!! In that order❤
When I lived in Piscataway NJ the teachers were always appreciated Anything that the parents di for the holidays. When we moved to Carteret NJ, They didn't want the parents to do anything extra for holidays or birthdays. My kids are adults now and we live in FL. It's so awesome that the schools in other states are still allowing the parents to do things for the kids . Love ya hugs my friend. 🤗🤗💚💚
Hi Melissa, yay to completing your Christmas and teacher appreciation folders. It’s that time of year. I’m cooking my own Christmas dinner this year so I will be coming up with a menu for 4 people. Kinda excited but I know it will get a lot of work 😅
Good morning Melissa! Great job funding the two categories and I love swapping out the gift cards for the money. It’s such a smart idea to do. I’m actually going to start doing that for groceries I get at Walmart (using those gift cards instead).
Hello Melissa. Congrats on completing your Christmas and teacher appreciation challenges. I, on the other hand, can't decide on a final amount to have for Christmas savings hahaha. Hope you have a great week.
How fun would Nickelodeon resort be!? That makes me want to go now. I’m hoping we have extra money left over from our vacation this week so we can start our 2025 vacation.
