You called them wheel suckers, I call them leeches they don't want to do any work. A lot of riders in your group like to stop pedaling, that's one thing I dislike during our group for the rider in front of me to just stop pedaling.
Finally a video without the footage clearly sped up to make it look like they are going faster, sort of like the UCI TDF races where riders are going up 20% roads at 65 km hr posted speeds. Those roads suck for using echelons so you are wasting thousands of watts just keep that 2 person line up battling those winds and air pressure. At least everyone was keeping a good pace line there.
Thanks Steve! This was very helpful. I used to have two Garmin cameras that did all of this automatically. Unfortunately they were not very good video cameras. I like having this information the challenge for me is it is very time-consuming to get all this right. Not hard to do but just time-consuming. But I was not familiar with this program so I’ll have to check it out. Much appreciated.Arthur.
One of the nice things of getting older is the natural loss of hearing... This in turn reduces the need to lube one's chain. Afterall one only needs to lube the chain when it gets noisy. No???
This is exactly what I did today. BUT the nuts used are so rusted and stripped I cannot get them off. I tried WD-40 to help soften the rust build-up. It also seems the inner part is busted and rotates with the nut. What would you suggest I do?? I was told to leave it by family. I just want my little Nissan looking good! 😢
Hmmm, I would consider using a Dremel tool to cut off the nut. That would allow you to at least remove the assembly. Now you need some way of putting it back together. Id probably use the Dremel to cut off the remaining portion of the threads. I'd then buy a similar screw and use JB weld to glue the new screw to the assembly.. once the glue dries, put it back together.
You really need to wave those wheel suckers through, you spent way too long with your nose in the wind. Tom, Dean, Danny Evans just hanging out back there.
Recalcitrant, hubris.....gonna hafta find my kid's SAT/ACT prep books and burnish my vocab to elucidate the loquacity. Thanks for putting this together!
NIce video Steve. It's been a while since we talked at the Bailey race last May. I'm back in Thailand and doing a few races but mostly escaping the windy cold of Gunnison until April. I hope to see you at some races when it's warmer! Bill Morris.
Flapping?! Noted, I'll work on my wardrobe malfunction. Visor is not going away. I think of it as training with ankle weights. Thx for recording/posting.
You had me at size dichotomy. Not finding any disparaging comments re: jersey size. Is there a more recent posting than this? I am not finding one for 28-Jun.
