Nice video, i have a question about the Marshal London 3.5 mm inputs, Can i insert and use them with 2 external microphones at the same time? For instance the RØDE VideoMic Me. Thanks in advance.
while the jbl is obviously in a different league. it is bulky. that will be the Marmite for most. but all rearward speakers are improved by reflecting their sound forwards. be that cupping your hand around a bad phone speaker. or placing the phone in front of something with a hard surface to reflect the sound. that's just physics.
Recording is not a technical or clinical experience in a garden shed like this, relying on camera microphones etc. as I'm sure you know. There's also equalization via software which can change elements of the sound etc. In reality, I don't think that turning the device away from me has a significant impact on the sound and think that they've done it pretty well. But clearly, from what you're saying, that doesn't come across on this limited video/recording. Anyway, hands-on essential before shellin' out £570! Personally, I'm delighted :-)
I would probably wait for the next iteration anyway since I want dual-sim (fingers crossed). I guess by then this set up will be in shops somewhere. Good that you say there's no significant difference in person, but most people think existing speakers that point in the other direction are just fine. I presume you also can hear the big difference when listening to the video? If not, then it's down to the difference in our ears (like I mentioned, mine is very fussy). In any case, it's certainly essential to try them in person, especially when forking out that amount of money - it is quite a lot, isn't it?
probably a bit unfair as when flipped it was then back-down so muffled by the table cloth, not stood up on the stand until later, when the difference was not so apparent.
Thanks all. What I've realised with this, is that live I was not seeing a lot of the video, just placeholders, assuming nobody could. But on playing it back the video feeds all survive. Example being Allen Cross live I saw nothing of him at all, but now I see him clearly throughout. I have a fast wired connection here, not wifi, so I guess that's just a limitation that Steve Litchfield spoke of but the individual feeds are compiled on the Google Servers and it's all put together afterwards
Well, no great loss. As you later discovered, you were better off for the lack of having viewed my disagreeable mug. ;-) From this end, I saw -- insofar as 'seeing' is possible on a weeny 13" Macbook Air display -- everybody, the whole time. Honestly, the whole thing worked a treat. .
