Am yet to find the perfect hotel for myself. I do like Mercure 24 as it is in a really nice area. Novotel 4 has amazing city views. Novotel Living is possibly at the top of my list now because of price and location.
i stayed in The Continent Hotel in april. they try to make it feel like the north pole, having the air conditioning blast freezing cold air in public spaces. Warm water in the shower takes long to arrive or never gets warm at all I had lunch one time, a curry with rice, some rice grains had green and blue spots, in other words it was already spoiled and not fresh at all
This was the upgraded Executive room. It comes with kitchen and washing machine which the standard room does not. I am unsure if the windows were able to be opened or not. I did not try.
This is a hotel. So there is a front desk for normal checkin and room is cleaned every day. This room has the added benefits of a kitchen for longer stays. I think the hotel provides breakfast but there is a shopping mall and restaurants nearby so I always eat there instead.
There is a minimum charge to reserve a table. I think it was 3000 baht. You then get 3000 baht worth of drinks. They will ask if you want a table when you come through the entrance. Am unsure how to book prior to that though.
The hotel only opened a couple months ago (November 2023) so staying here is currently very cheap as they need to promote the hotel and get recognition. The cost for myself was $105 AUD which is about $80 USD per night.
Yes very slow internet at this hotel only. Internet in Thailand is really good and very fast. I would say faster and cheaper than here in Australia. This hotel for some reason had the slowest internet of all hotels I stayed at in Thailand. Possibly the wifi was not strong enough? Am unsure why.
Hey there..just wanted to ask if the renovation is complete?? And how is the hotel after the renovation..we just booked it for our 4 day stay and wanted to know if its worth it !
You will love it. Renovation is all finished. Spanish restaurant is very popular. Everything in the room is new. Was very happy to stay here. Great pool!

Hello Big G, given you were in the last row of premium economy. Do you recall if there were restrictions as to how far you can recline your seat compared to all the other premium econ seats? thanks
The seat reclines the same as all other seats. When reclining the seat actually moves forward and not backward. When the person in front reclines it does not move into your space. As such you get full recline even in the back seat. However you do get reduced leg room when you recline your seat which is unfortunate.
