Clarksonville - A Free Village Parish: St. Ann, Jamaica
It was named by Rev. John Clark, Baptist minister stationed at Brown's Town in St Ann in 1835, for Thomas Clarkson, an English advocate of the abolition of slavery. It was one of the first set of free villages to be established just after emancipation. The land was purchased to be used as a settlement for ex-slaves after August 1, 1838.
Brother McKie, for Dad's children you've enabled us to be back in Dad's presence. A family man, a man of duty & responsibility, a leader & inspirer, a man of faith. Fantastic editing of footage over close to a 35 year period. 'McKie' we salute you. 👏🏿.
Clarkeville Tv. Congratulation on your new channel. Could you please highlight the new Watt Town Post Office. It was closed for a while, and is now open with a new library. And also high light the Alexandria Hospital. They need to open it back. I remember the days when Dr. Paul Magnus was the resident Doctor. St. Ann is the second largest Parish with only one hospital. Its a shame There is a large consentration of people living in that area and on the out skirt. Plus you have the Bob Marley Mosoleum at Nine Mile. (Stephnie). Please, please highlight these places. Congratulation on the New Watt Town Post Office. Kerp Up The Good Work. Blessings.
