It's a huge security risk to identify your clients if you're actually hosting services for them on your infrastructure. Cyber threat hunting is figuring out where certain high-end clients are hosted. This can be an easy way to determine where to start using publically provided information to hunt for client-specific servers and services. Never reveal actual clients' names on a website. It also typically goes against standard NDAs.
I completely agree. It doesn't pay to be stingy with valuable content. No forcing people into giving their contact info just for a lead that may or may not convert, doesn't help anyone. People appreciate having the choice to learn first, then come back when they are ready.
