I work in nuclear engineering in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a career emphasis on particle accelerator applications in medicine, research, and industry. I'm a lecturer in the Nuclear Engineering Department at the University of New Mexico, where I'm also the Chief Reactor Supervisor and licensed SRO for the AGN-201M nuclear reactor. In my spare time, I collect radioactive stuff, build neutron generators, make plasma art, and travel to places impacted by nuclear technology. In the past I have been very active in the amateur nuclear fusion hobby. Thanks for visiting my RU-vid channel!
Let's see um visit Fukashima. You can't it's deadly. Still reacting. Still poisoning the planet. Nuclear is DIRTY. You just don't see it. It's a silent killer
Nowadays people are worried about tritium contamination in water, meanwhile a century ago people were purposely contaminating their drinking water with radon 😂
15:21 not sure if it did happen like in the show Chernobyl, but imagine having to see those control rods jumping up and down, heart sinking to the floor like that elephants foot.😬
Seems so... humbling to see the inside of the reactor. To stop and think of the chaos that happened right where you stand. I can mentally see the ghosts of the workers, going on about their business.
