Forgot to say it had been there for 40 years and it was full of mouse poop and not a dent and the finders were not Wielded where they were split and rodents had not ate up the wiring Amazing
youre very lucky to find such a treasure ,,you cleaned up the body really nice ,,,if your familiar with the group ...zz top ..they had videos of a 1934 ford coupe ,,red ...and beautiful ...give it a nice paint job ,,,perhaps make a video of it ,,b4 and after ,,,it would be an interesting story from start to finish ,,,try to keep it as original as you can ,,,i know that can be hard to do ,,,as im stuck with mine a lil bit ,,,the 55 fairlane i have has a weak cylinder with the 292 i told you about ,,,thing is ....if i want it rebuilt ,,,here in nashua would cost me about 6 to 7000 for everything to be redone from one of the local machine shops here ,,,its leaking oil out of a filler tube at the bottom of the engine ,,,ive put in marvel mystery oil to help raise the cylinders compression ..but the bottom side is ,,,it thins out the oil ...but cleans all of the cylinders and restores their compression ,,,marvels oil has been around since 1923 ,,,wonderful stuff ,,,look into it for youre motor ,,,,im sure it would do you wonders ,,,it can be used for gas and oil surprisingly ,,,4 ozs for each ten gallons of gas in your tank ...and just a few ounces for your oil as well ,,,.IM TRYING SOOO HARD TO KKEP MY ENGINE GOING ,,,THE MOTOR IS THE SAME AGE I AM 60 YEARS OLD ...RUNS WELL ,,,BUT IVE GOT TO KEEP MY EYE ON THINGS
Nice vid! (but dude, why did you shoot it in portrait mode, instead of landscape mode?) Oh well, who am I to talk? I have often done that myself on a lot of my own YT vids. How pharisaical of me!
GOoD LUCK bro .on your journeys ,does me alot of good to se something like this .inspires me to keep my 55 ford alive .been raining so much here in new hampshire ,i try to take it out only when the weather is good .i have a 292 y block in it .the motor ISNT original .its from the year i was born .in 1960 ,but it has one weak cylinder .so i put in .some bardahls NO SMOKE ADITIVE TO MY OIL .and its keeping it from using so much oil ,it stil runs very wel but hopefuly the major operation to the motor rebuild wil be a LONG WAY OFF! l
It's definitely staged this strike's got a success I didn't get it back in the day some outrutter install a small block shouldn't wait our other instruments not watch everyone in a forward 90
You should have put some wire wheels with flat tires on it before you faked the recovery. I'm not surprised that it has no fiberglass parts but all the glass is missing and yet the headlights aren't broken. If I fake a video I'll make it more obvious that it's a joke.
I’d be pretty embarrassed to try and pass that off as field find. This was very obviously staged. When you pulled it out there wasnt a dirt spot from where it was sitting and the tires were new and up. You parked it there before the video, tossed some sticks on it, and tucked some grass up against the wheels. Big Oof.
Nice truck, amazing it runs and drives right out of the gate. Great stance, tried and true engine. Restore it and enjoy the way you want it, thats the joy of hot rodding. Great find.
Correct. Some states required sealed beams in the late 40s , early 50s. Pennsylvania did . My uncle John had a 33, and sealed beams we're inserted into the correct light shells.
