hello ,i love the look of this thermostat for my bathroom ,just renovated my bathroom , will this work with my small baseboard heater (240 volt 500 watts heater ) thank you for your time .
I have been doing this method for 25 years and I suggest you put some high resistors ahead of your hotline into the cable otherwise I would say that you are burning up every cable you test this way. 5-30 kiloohmn ceramic resistors are a cheap way to keep from burning the cable up in the floor.
An artist at work. Thanks for sharing your skill and experience, this was fascinating to see happen. I'm installing cable before tiling my own bathroom and this has put my mind at ease if it were to ever fail
Why does it shut off at 69°F when I set it to 75°F? I'm literally only trying to get it to 70°F, but it won't even kick on until I set it to 75-76 degrees. Very contrary, counter intuitive product. I've been doing exactly what this video says and we still can't get our unit warm in this cold snap. 🆘.

Hello, after purchasing my KPB2406 on 12/2/20, it is now beginning to faulter (1/5/24), by turning completely off before reaching temperature. Could it just need a cleaning? If so, what is the proper way to clean it? Thank you, Ben

What wire connectors does King Electric recommend using to connect the solid copper wires from the breaker to the crappy stranded aluminum wire in your products? PAW2422 heater and TKIT-2 thermostat for example.
It is recommended to use wire nuts to connect the incoming building power wire to the appliance rated wire inside the heater. Only use wire nuts that are rated for handling the gauge, quantity and type of wire involved.
lol wow that was much easier than I ever thought the difference between the single and double pull was!!!! Definitely overthinking things here! Thank you 🎉
My thermostat is for an old baseboard heating system. It only has three wires. One labeled with an R , one labeled with a W and the other wire labeled with a B. What type of thermostat do I use? Thank you.
It could require a cleaning of the blower to remove dust and debris or a loose interior screw may cause it. Our technical support department would be happy to walk you through it. Please contact them directly at 206-762-0400 OPT: 2 or tech@king-electric.com
literally the most unintuitive sh*t I ever used. It took ages for me to figure out how to get this work. I can't understand why so many apts choose to use this product.
Yes, the instructions for how to adjust are on Page 6 of the manual. But here is a summary. Louver Adjustment: (Do not adjust while heater is operational): Confirm louvers are rotated less than 45 degrees from horizontal before operation. To adjust the opening angle, grasp the left and right end of louver and twist with two hands to the desired position. CAUTION: Increasing angle beyond 45˚ degrees from horizontal may restrict air flow casing over temperature limit to activate & shut off the heater.
@@kingelectricheat I initially wired my heater and both the heater and fan seemed to be working. However, when I started adjusting the temperature and switching modes, both the heater and fan stopped functioning. I tried various settings like 99F/H/2h and also attempted to use just the fan mode, but nothing worked. Should I contact technical support?
Hello, Do you happen to have a link to the user manual for this unit you can share? I have one installed in my new RV but it didn't come with a manual. Thanks!
Hope you enjoy that new RV! king-electric.com/wp-content/uploads/kel_product_files/PXECO2S_Installation.pdf Feel free to reach out to our tech team at tech@king-electric.com with any questions.
My 3 wire thermostat, an old Honeywell, has connections common, heat, and cool on the back. What do I replace this thermostat with? I can’t figure it out.
Can I use it to meet my needs? I have a large living room with 3 cast iron radiators which look ugly and take space. These radiators are connected to a copper piping which goes through the whole house. Can I just remove 2 radiators and to replace 3rd one with king one with matching BTU? Or do I need some special pipe coil for this?
You have to purchase a separate remote line voltage wall thermostat or we have an available built-in thermostat kit that ca be installed in the field. It mounts on the end of the unit. king-electric.com/product/kcvt/
You got to hold the button for how long before actually see the hot spot? I bought the same crown insulation tester as this video since it is working but im wondering how long i need to hold it and if it’s gonna ruin mh whole cable to keep it pressed for too long
Any tips for mounting this? The bracket appears to to wide to mount to a stud. Will I have to mount something to the stud and then mount the bracket to that?
The heater needs to be securely fastened to the wall or ceiling surface. It depends on your building construction and the anchor system you choose, but yes we have seen many people attach a 2x4 on the ceiling surface between 2 ceiling joists and then fasten the heater to that.
Thanks for your feedback! Leonard is certainly an asset to King. We shared this with our team during a daily sales meeting and it definitely made Leonard's day. :)
The standard KB ECO2S garage heater can not be connected to a Nest thermostat but our KB ECO2S PLUS model can... king-electric.com/product/model-kb-eco2s-plus/
I got a house that came with this wall heater. Dont know its wattage.. .but in the winter and it's cold outside (around 35F), it's installed in the living room that is open to the kitchen and laundry room. Seems by itself, it can't heat up the room to a comfy temp.. usually I can get it to about 65F degrees and it just stays at that temp.. I have to turn on another portable heater to heat up the area to around 70F... Is that normal?
It sounds like the heater is too small or the space, since it is so open to other rooms. All depends on your insulation values of the house and square footage. Here is a tool that will give you a general guide on sizing. That heater is 2000W maximum depending on the model. Sounds lime there should be additional heaters in the kitchen and/or laundry room to heat the house as you are expecting. king-electric.com/pro-tips/how-to-size-an-electric-heater-to-your-room/
we are freezing and failed to make it work until we set the temperature to 75F, even it shows the current temperature is 68F. So is it the logic here that it thinks it is not cold enough for it to work?
