That cop can’t call anyone stupid he’s the idiot who lets a witness involved in a gunfight go back to the scene and on top of that they never identified themselves as police as well as pointing bright lights into someone’s eyes he could have thought he was being ambushed instead of identifying themselves as law enforcement they just shot him. They were sleeping and just heard somebody banging on their door. The gun was not raised and was not a threat most likely Apartment walls are also thin.
