SCR Rant I couldn’t send this on discord so it’s here. Why didn’t the scr devs add a siding on the Rayleigh bay branch? Here are the reasons. 1. Every branch in scr has a siding aside from leighton west, Connolly, and Rayleigh bay. And leighton west is a one station branch with leighton depot nearby. Willowfield has beechly sidings and willowfield sidings, Esterfield has fairleigh road and Esterfield sidings, and Connolly is only a 2 station branch with Benton siding nearby for all routes. The problem is, Every other branch except those has a siding/depot or doesn’t for a good reason, but Rayleigh bay has 5 routes serving the branch on connect, and 1 on express. Seriously, That’s 6 routes with no direct sidings. 2. There is literally a space to do it without any work. See, if you look closely, near Carnalea bridge, there is a siding, but it’s just full with 3 static trains. The reason this exists, FOR AN ADVERT. This is literally only used in one new advert, about stepford connects fleet refurbishment, which we already had one for that which took place at stepford east. All they had to do was remove one train from the scenery. ONE TRAIN. And yet we just got an advert instead of a siding 3. Well, it might just be for aesthetics, right? WRONG. This has been done but better before, Just look at leighton depot. Leighton depot was upgraded to its current state in 1.8, and they executed it perfectly. They still kept some static trains, but there is one empty track for spawning. Why didn’t they just do this for Rayleigh bay? I feel like the static trains literally serves no purpose (Please riot about this in the scr discord for me idk how to use it)
When the upgraded the 170, it lost all it’s originality and now looks literally identical to the 357 which is free. Before 2.0 the 170 was actually original.
Yesterday, I just bought my first train that wasn't a Connect train. I bought the WaterLine Class 703. I drove on the starter WaterLine route and stopped at Eden Quey, it was love at first sight. In my opinion, I recon that Eden Quey has the best scenery out of all of the stations that I have seen. I love the vibe and everything about it. I can see how @PototoLemon had Eden Quey as their favourite station for a while. It's my favourite station now thought :D
I am gutted because my favourite station is benton AND YOU CALL IT BLAND THAT IS SO DISSAPOINTING I UNIMPRESSED (anyway after all that moaning where was esterfield???)
If i would tease an update that would be called 2.0, i would REVAMP the Entire game, adding new Features all at once, i'd revamp the entire Map and everything that is still possible. Introducing new driving systems, revamping some stations and trains was always Part of scr (The driving before 2.0 was added like in 1.2).
