Back in the middle / late 70's when I was in high school ( Gunderson) the lowriders and hotrodders all cruised downtown 1st street on Friday & Saturday nights, there was no drama and we appreciated the customizing and fantastic paint jobs of each other's cars.
Yeah, 60 Impalas are nice. Bob Seeger worked on his Night Moves, in the back seat of one (he just said Chevy but I figured it was an Impala) She was a black haired beauty with big dark eyes Points of her own sittin’ way up high Way up firm and high Out past the cornfields where the woods got heavy Out in the back seat of his 60 Chevy They were working on mysteries without any clues. Tryna make some front page drive in news They were working on their night moves in the summertime In the sweet summertime summertime They weren’t in love, oh no far from it They weren’t searching for some pie in the sky summit They were just young and restless and bored Livin by the sword And they’d steal away every chance they could To the back room, the alley, the trusty wood 😉 He used her and she used him but neither one cared They were getting their share Workin on their night moves Tryna lose those awkward teen age blues Workin on their night moves And it was the sweet summertime summertime … Woke last night to the sound of thunder How far off? I sat and wondered Started humming a song from 1962 Ain’t it funny how the night moves? When you just don’t seem to have as much to lose Strange how the night moves Autumn closin in … Too bad you couldn’t have that song playing in the video. Probably have to pay big money for royalties though.
Don't get me wrong and you do you, but I would rather see a dancing bed on a lowrider truck than to see someone hopping their car while driving. Even the editor of Lowrider magazine Joe Ray says that's bad for the suspension and dangerous.
Thank you so very much for sharing. I’m 53 and a car guy. I became terminally ill 9 years ago. Health is to bad I haven’t done car stuff for years. I really appreciate your time for making this video. God Bless
