Welcome to Dave's Supercars. Join me on my journey of first Supercar ownership. I'll describe how and why I bought my Lamborghini Gallardo Hamann edition and all the pros and cons of owning and driving a supercar in Dubai. I'll also be reviewing other sports and supercars and putting them up against my own to see how they compare. Fun and excitement will be had alone the way. Sure isn't it that's why we are here!
I have a 2003 c2 cab and if had more money would not touch those huge 992 would go more back in time. This review was actually quite negative not impressed nor desservant of this beauty. Enough with the ims they are all sorted out these days, stigma 4ever
Where I struggle is the utter daftness of even creating a setup where you cannot check the oil without putting the motor into a position where, if the oil is low, you could damage it. That’s silly design. Imagine if you don’t have the history of the car. You’re uncertain if it’s got enough oil in it. For me, the only rational choice is to drop the oil and replace it.
Actually I think the fried egg headlight description fits the early gen 1 cars and not the gen 2. This configuration headlights is really very nice. It actually looked stylish.
Hello there! Oil consumption was not an issue at all. Yes it needed some from time to time. I never found it a big deal. It doesn’t burn that much in my opinion. Super easy process to top it off and check the levels. I have a video on that also. I loved that car. Regret selling it 🥲
My friend i have the same car and i hate the look of that wheels sticking in. Can you pls tell me what to order to get the exactly same specers like you got pls 🙏
I was personally happy with 22/25. No need for longer lug nuts, as you get lug nuts with the spacers that fit the spacers onto the existing hub. Then you use your standard lug nuts to attach the wheel to the spacers. There are specifically drill and and tapped holes in the spacers for them. Easy!
Hello Jorge. Unfortunately the front two speakers were previously replaced by a previous owner, and they cut the wires and removed the connector. So that why they had to be wired again. Thankfully the rear two speakers were OEM so it was a simple plug & play job.
It’s known as Camel Road. If you go towards Al Faya Road you should come by it. Its actually in Sharjah. There is a coffee shop ‘Mavia Al Faya’. Use google maps or Waze (better). Nice dive and then you can have a nice coffee.
Waze is a traffic maps app that you can download onto your phone. It works the same as Google Maps but shows speed cameras and gives you announcements when you are approaching one too fast.
what is the punishment for driving to fast in dubai ? what happens if you take away the number plate in front sure you get fines but you get to keep your dricings licence ?
Speeding fines for speeding. The higher the speed the higher the fine. Too fast and you get black points and can get your car impounded and licence suspended.
@@DavesSupercars what can you do about it am a cronical speeder i like to drive fast. What is punishment for not have regplates say i forget to put them back on when i wash car ?
Good video overall. But they are not at the bottom of the market in terms of the price going up - that point was a few years ago and the price has been increasing steadily since.
Have you noticed any difference whatsoever in the driving dynamics such as better stability at higher speed? Also, are they causing even a little bit of rock chipping to occur? Thanks in advance 👍
I'd worry about rock chipping as down lower the tires are outside of the wheel arches. These look legal for California, but if they were a bit wider you could get a ticket for them here. Just FYI.
I prefer the pre-2018 models as the post 2018 models have balanced headers so you don’t get that distinctive boxer engine rumble anymore. Just me opinion.
True, yet….if you own & drive one, in most locations, you’re going to look like a dick. Sorry, I think that’s so. Looks in its element there. But in ordinary places? Where will it look, and be, at home? High end California? Maybe Florida? Nowhere in England will it be at home. Ok, Kensington. Nope, still looks like a dick. An Aston, a Porsche, a mad limited edition Jaguar P8, all can be driven almost anywhere in England and provided you don’t burble down crime ridden inner cities, you’ll just get a smile from those you pass. Even better, older, high end cars. For some reason, older premium vehicles piss people off much less. Possibly because it’s evidence that the owner / driver probably made a discerning choice and didn’t just make a bank transfer on a whim, because they could. I have a 20 year old Porsche which in its day was expensive. It wasn’t cheap now. But I get thumbs up for white van drivers, chauffeurs, HGVs, bikers etc. Its now a friendly thing & for some reason not considered showy. As you may know, the English, the Brits as a whole actually, do not like show offs. We’re odd that way. To be clear, that black Ferrari looks SUPERB in every way. I’d love to drive one. I’m not that good a driver these days anyway, but I’d enjoy the sound and the insane road behaviour. I wouldn’t want to own it here, though. I’d be forever concerned that some bitter person would key it for the hell of it.
lights were developed by Porsches engineers for aerodynamic Advantage at higher speeds the 996.2 body appreciated it was twice as aerodynamic than his predecessor and significantly more stable
Great review. I don't mind the lights except the odd chrome oval - what is that for? The 4 wheel drive is awesome and is great in corners and feeling solid and in control. I have the tiptronic which is great for Los Angeles traffic but enjoy the shifting on Pacific Coast Highway. Slightly dated entertainment system but hardly have it on as I enjoy the sound of the car so much!
