A Montana based channel for the avid weekend backpacker!
I have been an avid backpacker for over 20 years, and I currently work in the outdoor retail industry.
The hiking community spans many different people, with different backgrounds and skill levels that all share a common love of sleeping in the backcountry. The majority of packers are people who work full time and try as hard as they can to hit the trail on the weekend. These are my people.
And they are the people this channel is for. The weekenders. Those who live for throwing their packs in the car and rushing to the trail head on Friday after work. Join me for a blend of tips, vlogs, and life lessons of the trail.

EU rules say. You can't refil gas bottles, when they are empty. And you not need make hole to bottle, when you throw bottles away. You must bring them recycled center. So this FlipFuel is useless in here Finland and EU area.
Simply a must have item! Easy access and easy to see how much water remains in your bottle without opening up your rucksack and moving the bladder out to see your available content! Another key point: One-Bottle has all the hydration kit accoutrements to make your system easy to rig and convenient to use! ❤

Thank you my friend, your support means the world to me. It really was cool when I found the basket. It will be a great story for years to come. Fortunately I really like the poles haha.
Great review. I'm just about to order an XMid2(solid) after my old faithful died on me in a gale last weekend. The Durston will be half the weight and twice the price of old faithful but hopefully will give me the same 20+ years of service!
There were trees growing where the bridge was. I’m guessing the bridge is from an old mine back in the day and hasn’t been there for a long time. Thanks for watching my friend.
I’m terribly envious that you live so close to the mountains!! Awesome views! Enjoyed the banter and the hike. Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to more!!
I enjoyed both versions. I’m leaning towards the version with music. I guess I’d have to say that if I’m watching a backpacking trip I’d take the music. A multi part thru hike, no music. lol🤷♂️
This was really fun to watch! I’m super thankful Snackbox shared his secret Poor Man’s Pad Thai! It’s a staple in my repertoire! Thanks for the fun chat!
Potato Cheddar Broccoli soup is my favorite grocery store backpack meal. Funny you asked about Snickers candy or protein. In the last month I've seen it's an actual thing now: "Snickers High Protein Bar" regular and peanut butter versions. I like Larabar Lemon but I'm gonna have to try cookie dough now.
That's great. I dig these chats. Cool to hear the Snackbox origin story. The channel too. I've been taking the same meals. I mean, it's just good to know there's goto food that won't give me liquid poo 😆 Oh I love Larabars. I tried few flavors and they tasted great.
Sounds like an awesome trip. It's great to have something to look forward to. The hardest part is just getting to the trailhead. Hopefully you get lost in a good way lol. I hear ya on the footprint. If I'm heading into unknown territory, I'd think about bringing my trusty free standing tent. The footprint is tiny. Super fast to pitch and only needs 2 stakes in fair weather.
What beautiful morning views. It's an incredible place. I love my Topo's, one of the best shoes I've tried. I saw in the background as you were leaving, my old friend Texas Pass. Talk about a butt kicker. Good times!
That is a long climb, but so much fun. It's funny, as you're cooking. I noticed the As the crow flies sticker. That is who I took with me last year. Good times!
Great hike! When I hiked through last year. I took a break at that camp spot. I was thinking it looked like a great spot, but we pressed on to the Towers.
It was a beautiful spot, but the wind was definitely nuts. Given the situation I think we made the right choice, but I definitely wish we had considered down into the valley. I definitely will do that on the next trip there.
That is a good question. I do know that early on they were updating often so there were several variations. Also, they use different denier count fabric in different styles so if you have the dyneema version there may be some color differences. I’m honestly not 100% sure.
