I thought he choked on his own vomit from drinking and drugs...... I just got the same strap for my guitar will think of Jimi whenever I play. Not that I already don't he's the soul reason I picked up the instrument 😊
Jimi is way more about him than being able to do ahead of his time finger work. There is so much more great about him. Positives. Genius of this and that. Jimi wasn't amazing.....he was "Magically Amazing" and no one will ever one ever be like that in the way he was! Love him!
I'm amazed. I new Jimi is the best. Hes playing a 1733 song! Different than 1700's. Just as good. Jimi took an old classical song and put his 1969 music n sound to it! I no he's brilliant but this totally blows me away! Another reason he's will always be #1. Great Idea Jimi n band! 🎶☮️💟
Can this be colorized and upscaled with ai super resolution, and the audio cleaned up? For an "off" night, the performance is pretty damn good! And I don't even mind it in lofi black & white, but still, it'd be nice to see it maximized. You computer geniuses, have your ai study all these and re-render the performance as spatial 3-d holographic, so the children of tomorrow can climb up on the virtual stage and watch Jimminy's fingers! 😃
I read that Jimi was in a foul mood for this show because they tried but were not able to find something to get high on before the show. Before the second show the same night they succeeded and they played much better.
I've been playing the guitar for 20 years, or something... And to this day, I still feel guilty for not seeing what everyone else sees in this guy. Definetely a good guitar player, but I can't see much more than that. I have to admit that I always found him extremely overrated.
I'm fan of Jimi Hendrix and Tony iommi best guitarists all time. Iove blues rock and hard rock muisc I use a epiphone sg standard guitar and orange amp into blues rock muisc .
Yes , weirdly and sadly underrated by many claiming to be fans of the band. Obviously not underrated by Jimi or he wouldn't have chosen him .. Noel told him he wasn't a bass player but Jimi obviously liked what he heard.
As a bassist myself, I can see he's a timekeeper, and rarely much more. Jack Bruce for instance was more dynamic AND he was singing. But Noel's providing a very solid set of lines, which was needed because Jimi and Mitch were often pushing to the max! Somebody has to hold down the fort while the pilots are flying.
There are moments in this clip where Jimi's guitar sounds like what I imagine to be, an elephant herd being slaughtered. The guitar's "controlled chaos," for lack of a better phrase, bursts with wailing feedback and sobbing bends that cry and scream while the bass pounds away like enormous trampling feet in a stampede with such emotive force that it leaves one startled and emotionally drained. I am sure that sounds at the least, melodramatic and at the worst, pretentious as hell. For that, I truly apologize. But the humility Jimi possessed paralleled with the other worldly talent he effortlessly displayed, not to mention the beauty and depth his music and words explored, evoke such a high bar for what the possibilities of art and music can genuinely become. After watching these three titanic musicians perform this, the daily routines and expectations of life for a brief and beautiful moment, appear almost ridiculous, unimportant, trivial and even misleading and false. Perhaps too easy of an observation, simply put, there is no "lying," here. In a world of misinformation, "cherry picked" maxims and fanatical myopic declarations, the tremendous power depicted here is amplified even further. Gotta go. We're out of coffee so I'm off to Safeway. Lol! From the heroic to the mundane in less than two minutes. All the best to everyone and may the Everywhere Spirit bless us all.
