Wth are you talking about 😅😅😅 Meg has been doing ads on Amazon and it didnt work for her than she switch to Tik Tok and she is the one who created the niche "bold and easy" and it took her a long time to build her own audience so please stop misleading people that they can make 7 figures by publishing these type of books and WITHOUT ADS! Watched only 2mins from your video! UNFOLLOW!
I'm.a goof artists but I'm not good at social media. Thank you for the advice. I recently self published my colouring book but struggling sales I can see clearly why now .
This should have way more than 362 likes! A very well made tutorial, including the legalities of using Canva's work and where you can use it. I just published my first journal/notebook, just waiting for it to be approved! Thank you! :)
These colouring books have very simple everyday generic items in them, if we made a colouring books with the same simple generic items in them, are they going to turn around and think we've copied them? 😫
Thanks for another helpful video. Do you have any thoughts about whether it's better to use British English or American English in your books? I've never seen a video on this topic and yet I'm sure it must be a purchasing decision for some people, particularly parents about to buy a book for their child. I'm in the UK and am trying to decide at the moment whether to go with American and stick to it. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Easy. That website. I'm off to make one on builderall. Woo hoo. And I have an idea... give it away as a template for free when they join builderall under me. Or do a different Web page for someone else if they want to do their own... or show them and help them be creative To recap. 1 made website . 2 make colouring book. 3 make new tiktok channel a d start colouring them in... or just flicking through the pages at first. Ingenious
I’m creating my own hand drawn colouring book series and haven’t decided the publishing route yet. Just wondering if anyone has noticed inconsistency in paper quality. I’ve purchased some from Amazon US and Amazon AU to compare paper. There’s a noticeable difference. As a long time artist, paper quality is important to me. What’s your thoughts? Would love a comparison video! Cheers from Central Coast NSW.❤️🇦🇺
I have looked at Amazon US self publishing quality (coloring books) and to be honest it's disappointing. The paper is not bright white so it looks dull and the paper is too thin too.
Hi Caroline, love following you. I started following Meg Publishing back in January and she absolutely has paid for sponsored ads. I've seen them on several of her books. I think it's misleading to say, "They do not have any paid ads whatsoever to generate these kinds of sales." They DID. Just because she doesn't have ads running on her books at this current moment, doesn't mean she didn't have the benefit of ads previously. Obviously her TikTok has helped immensely, but wanted to share in case anyone else thinks she did this without ads - not true.
There is no way one person is doing this alone. Be honest. I appreciate the information but to think this is a single person is behind this is not realistic.
If you know how to market on social media and draw, you can totally do this as a single person. If she has a graphic design background, she could have easily designed her own website as well.
More great ideas! Thank you so much, Caroline, for being such a source of inspiration for a newbie. My business is still in it's infancy, so your videos are invaluable for my growth. I will add that I am having the time of my life!
If we get the website ready as a new KDP seller, how will people get to know about the website? Assuming a new seller might not have a great social media presence to promote the website.
As always, great information. Your videos are very well done. Easy to watch and very informative. Thank you. (P.S. - GLEAN is what you want to use. Not GLEAM).
Hello, excellent video, very well explained, I just need to say that in the first software you cannot sell on other platforms the word searches that you do not have the rights to sell on Etsy, creative fabric, etc. and that you can only make 200 downloads per month. It's something I was reading in the restrictions if you are only going to sell on Amazon KDP this software is excellent
You did a video about a year ago "STOP Making Low Content Books To Publish on Amazon KDP And What You Should Be Doing Instead!" But here you are showing how Tiktok can be a medium to sell low content books on Amazon. I am not being disrespectful but I am confused.
Any violation on KDP is forgiven if your book sells a lot. I HAVE overwhelming evidence of books on sale for years and years, clearly copied and still there. Reported and KDP does absolutely nothing.
Does my 350-page novel count as a low-content book on kdp. I wanted to schedule a release for it but kdp won't let me since it's a low-content book. I was honestly gonna try and cheat the system and set my book as a large print that way I could set a release date. What should I do?
Yet, you found lots of examples that have not been banned by Amazon. They might not be selling, but that's true of nearly every self published book on Amazon.
The example that you gave of the lady with 380 books, how much did she spend to create these books. How many years will it take her to just break even?
I just finished the personal edits of my epic fantasy novel and decided that self-publishing would be the best route for me, then found your channel while researching. Your advice has been invaluable! Thank you!
