I think, the whole Group is a „we need to put all minorities - Drawing“. Feels a bit „artificial“, but with the most of them, it doesnt feel bad. Pax is what you made her. Noam is a cool Person somehow Theo is „Daddy guy“ Sai … ah a bit annoying somehow. Later, other people will join. Dont want to spoil anything here. Fighting System is really broken. You can hit Robots (later) even trough obstacles. Maybe a good idea to switch to less combat (i left it to normal mode).
@@MarkusQu Yes, I haven't finished the game yet so those are the ones that are uploaded and either released or scheduled for release. I will be finishing the entire game though. Videos you can't see, are those who have been assigned to the playlist but have not been released yet.
@@MalisityGames Alright, thought, i did something wrong. I am not into YT Letsplay // Content Creation, only a consumer and was wondering. I stay tuned fot the next one (and your Stray Videos, game look’s lovely, but 6h…)
Yeah, your comments around the 13 minute mark are kind of the vibe I've been getting about the whole game so far, and not just with Sai. I'm absolutely 100% all for diversity and inclusiveness. As part of what is generally the most standard demographic of game player out there, I love when games give me a chance to walk a mile in someone else's shoes and see (and feel) things from a different perspective. It really is one of the best things about the medium. But this game is so on the nose with everything it does that it honestly feels like a parody of some kind; a game made by let's just say a certain group of people literally using a checklist to make fun of "diverse and inclusive" games.
Exactly, it gets to be so much it feels less like an interesting character and more like a caricature, a mockery of a person. I enjoy diverse characters in games, I just don't want them to feel like a joke or super heavy handed. I found Baldurs Gate 3 managed to walk that line quite nicely. A game named Tell Me Why has an excellent perspective of a trans character and is a very sweet game. In this one Noam is coming off as a really nice and interesting non-binary character. But Sai just comes off like someone was trying to make a joke character and I do not like that.
Small Info: Sometimes, waiting making a choice gives you even better options (if you wanna play „Nice Pax“) Edit: never hear about smores. Sausage Jokes are …funny. Edit2: Dont worry about using Vox on Sai. See it as an introduction of that power :)
@@MarkusQu I plan to finish the game. Even if in my latest recording I did find some issues, I also see some good in the game and I want to give it a fair chance.
@@MalisityGames Excellent. I keep watching. Its relaxing to see someone playing the game and is not selecting bad options on purpose and shouting all the time how bad the game is :)
This is the first I've seen of it outside of the trailer or two they showed at a couple gaming showcases. It looks.. fine? Definitely not anywhere near the best of this genre of game, but also nothing (at least as shown here) that puts it in Worst Game contention. I do absolutely agree that Pax is just kind of insufferable though. Maybe she gets better as the game goes on but having to play as someone like that turns me off the game more than anything else does.
I am making it my personal mission to make Pax into a decent human being. But yeah she is not a pleasant protagonist to play so far. I would have preferred to play Noam, their ability is more appealing to me.
Out of these all, I'm actually most interested in Tiny Glade despite it not being in my usual wheelhouse. It just has such a gorgeous visual style. I'll be interested in watching some plays of Frank Stone though. I don't usually like actually playing these games but they're always extremely entertaining to watch
Yeah, I was definitely interested by the premise but the way they did it just sounds so.. artificial. I guess you could say that just being able to film plants at a dutch angle (with no cast in sight) to progress can be taken as some sort of commentary on reality show viewership but it just feels lazy to me. Like they needed some kind of "progression system" and couldn't figure out a way to do it with interesting characters and dialogue. I'm also not sure how I feel about the visual style. It's neat to look at for a few minutes but I could see myself getting tired of it very quickly.
Surprisingly good video. Hooked me till the very end, it was good to remember FFIX. Liked the way you record following the lore without comments, I'll follow the series
I have not, I need to look into that one. I quite like sunken ships. This one was so nice as a sunken ship because most things are still in their place, making it a unique experience.
oh hey lol. youre a bit ahead of where Im at now. but im just about to drop into the shimmering isle. Just doing chocobo stuff right now. Good luck, love the voice by the way your voice is amazing just saying edit: lol yeah where is kuja hiding his tail? there is nothing to hide it behind!
Definitely curious about Mana as I've been a fan of the series since the very first game. The visuals and design of the new one look great but I'm a little iffy on the combat they've shown so far, so I wouldn't say I'm sold quite yet. Good thing is there's actually a demo that just released on both the consoles and on PC so we can get some hands on time with it before it releases to see how it plays (and how it runs on the PC side since Square isn't exactly known for always having the most performant PC ports)
Thanks for the review. I think I'll pass on this game since it seems to be a bit too lacking to be a must play. Watching this did give me fond memories of the 2021 French movie Full Time
@@MalisityGames it's not a mystery movie. It's about a single mother of 2 who works as a hotel maid that's trying to juggle raising her children while trying to find a better job all while a massive transportation strike is going on (which makes getting to places in the city really difficult). The way the film is made, it all plays out like a serious thriller movie
Things accidentally got released out of order today. Fixed it and here is the Cleyra one :P ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--3uz7GVLnQA.html
Hello! I like watching these gameplays as FF9 is my favorite. Please remember to use steal with Zidane when fighting bosses as they always carry good weapons. He has a skill called "detect" and you can check what they carry. I'm noticing you only use attack with him
Thank you for the advice. Sadly I actually pre-recorded this let's play as I wanted to finish it before the releaes of Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail. So I remained quite oblivious to "detect" througout. But I did later on start having Zidane steal bit more.
Oh same, it's one of those games that really sticks with you. I honestly wish i could forget it just to experience it all over again for the first time.
I think, maybe, I'll play that Final Fantasy Dawn Trail thing... I dunnio ;) Other than that, though, Ete does look very nice. And Montreal is a great place to visit!
Saw this in the Ubisoft conference recently and it looked cool! Thanks for your honest review. I’ll still play it, but likely weight for it to go on a subscription platform first!
That certainly was a game. It's pretty clear there was some talent involved here but it feels like maybe they bit off a little more than they could chew. Even if it had been put together better, I really do wonder if it would have been all that successful. Despite AotD being considered a classic in the genre (and maybe even literally the first game in the genre), I'm not sure the name or series just holds all that much weight today.
Sadly the series is probably best known for how bad their later games were. So there isn't exactly a playerbase waiting for this series. What it does well was, and is, done better by Resident Evil. I wish this one had gotten to cook a bit longer. It could have revitalized the series. But they really needed to come in with a banger and this was not.
