Welcome Retrogame Lovers! I'm a german retrogaming enthusiast, living in Switzerland and now also doing English videos :-) On my channel i will show you commented gameplay videos of retrogames, mostly upscaled via my Framemeister and captured on original hardware. These systems will be covered: Atari 2600, Atari 800XL, Commodore C-64 and Amiga, Nintendo NES, Famicom, SNES, GB, GBC, GBA, Gamecube and Wii, Sony Playstation 1,2,3, Sega Megadrive, Dreamcast and Master System, PC and MSDos and ZX-Spectrum 48K / 128K, PC Engine Core Grafx. I also have a german channel here: ru-vid.com Stay tuned and kind greetings, Thomas!
Since the gameplay is so similar to Enduro I wonder how much code they ripped from the original. I always thought that this game was an Enduro ROM hack.
Amazing game here for the Dreamcast. Once you get used to the map, controls, drifting and boosting some of the scores you can rack up are nuts. We'll worth sticking with.
So some more tips after using both cards for some months now. AVF video files look far better on CRT screen (14'' preferable- I have samples straight from a crt tv on my channel). Power cycling the machine, trying different ROM types or disabling BASIC allow more games to boot or run without issues. The stereo upgrade works really good with the DAC cable. There are many demos with stereo sound and they sound way better.
Reminds me a lot of Star Hawk, an early polygon Cinematronics arcade game. It was a shooting gallery on a timer but took the Death Star trench run for the backdrop which was fun. Cool to see the 2600 do more or less as well as the arcade game but in color.
I had the tape version of this game for my Commodore 64 back in the mid 2010's. And it was so hard and frustrating, i didn't even get through the first level 😹. And yet so, i sold it away at a flea market 😹👍.
Dude, you and Shadowsnose should do a collab vid. I miss his videos. Cool pickups, by the way. I like the Amiga disk caddy - very clever. I also liked the German Atari 2600 games. I don't think I've ever encountered one here in the USA. Have some "Taiwan" 2600 games in the box but that's about it.
Pinball Dreams, brilliant. I loved those big box games, made you feel like you were getting more for your money Lol. Very nice pickups there, plenty of loot. What's the watch you're wearing in todays video Thomas?
If they would't take so much space on my shelf, i definitely would like to collect more big box games. Another downside is that the games CIB are much more expensive than the loose cartridges. That watch is a rather old (more than 20 Years) Esprit with calendar, 24h display, timer and stoppwatch. Sadly meanwhile only the normal time, calendar and 24h display work. Guess i have to bring it to a watchmaker for repair someday.
The manual said that there are 7 stages. Not sure what happens after that. Casings means for every 50 shots, you expend one casing (unlimited casings/ammo). Somehow each spent casing scores you points, but it doesn't say how much. So not sure if you get more points for conserving ammo/shots or just go all out. If latter, might be the first "bullet hell" game. :)
