@@amywilkins so why Jesus spoke in aramaic when he was crucified he said( God why did you abandone me?) In aramaic language, that proves that the daily language of Jesus is aramaic and he used hebrew in liturgy
Thank you for being honest with the knowledge that is given to you. Keep digging more. Some information...history, geographical, old historic proof that the Promise Land is actually sub Sahara Africa, that Bantu are the true Israelites, and Hebrew was a made up language from IGBO language. Genesis 13 in NKJV provides that Abraham came up (elevation) and out of Egypt and went south. South of Egypt is going down deep into Africa. Additionally there are Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and other historic location names in South Africa. This gentleman Robert Headley explains it so well. I would love to see videos of you covering this. May The Most High bless you with His truth!!
I'm trying to understand why we were taught his name this way?! If his name wasn't Jesus why have it in the bible? Someone told me this information but I didn't believe them because of what the church taught me. So Ignorance is being taught on purpose. Is the church god's enemy or something? I've seen the church persecute people, and tear people down rather than build them up. There's not enough love in this world. I don't trust the church. I put my trust in God alone!
I use both. I am trying to use Yeshua more and more but with visitors coming in each week we have to keep referring back to Jesus so that they can understand what we are talking about. Thanks.
Greek was the language of the Gentiles, who were idol worshippers until the Apostles began to convert them. Greek is the language used to write the New Testament. They could translate Yeshua to Greek, it was Iesous, the 'I' being an 'E' sound-'E-soos'. When the Scriptures were translated from Greek to Latin, the Latins used Iesus, dropping the 'o'. Once the Scriptures were translated into English the 'I' translates over to 'J', therefore giving us Jesus. The Spanish speaking people today call Him 'Hey-soos', still spelling it Jesus. Spanish, Portuguese and Italian are all derived from Latin, yet some of their spelling and translations differ. We didn't muddy the waters with Jesus' name. Many nations over the earth call Him the equivalent name, but in their language. Words and names can be translated into other nations language. The Jews do not embrace Jesus as Messiah, because of what the Talmud and Rabbi's tell them. Understand Pastor and research yourself, the majority of Jews today embrace the Talmud over the Torah and other Old Testament Scriptures.
Actually Greek was considered a beautiful language to the Jewish sages. It was the ONLY language they considered worthy of having a translation of the scripture from Hebrew- thus the Septuagint. THIS, btw, the is the source of the "IESOUS" for Yeshua transliteration. It is NOT a pagan infusion from NT times. It predates Yeshua the Messiah by 1-3 centuries. As for "the majority of Jews", what authority are YOU on their personal lives, beliefs, and religion? Secondly, I think you misunderstand Talmud entirely - it's commentary and debates about scripture and halacha- how to walk it out. It is accompanyment TO Torah, not replacement OF Torah- even the Orthodox and Chabad followers regard it as such. To them it is holy, too, because it was the instructions on HOW to do the commandments that Torah itself does not explain. And there's nothing in Talmud about Jesus specifically- anti-missionaries love to point a few things out about a "Yeshua" who has disciples... but a different amount, different names, different events prior to death, a different manner of death, and even different period(s) of time... There's NOTHING in Talmud that causes them to reject the idea of Messiah, or Yeshua specifically, but rather the opposite- the idea OF MESSIAH is found IN the Talmud far more directly and overtly than in the Tanakh (Hebrew scriptures). I'd be careful about dismissing it out of hand- as the Sadducees did. Doing so led them to reject the idea of a Messiah entirely, to deny angels exist, and to fail to believe in an afterlife and the resurrection. Those are all ideas discussed and taught, at length at times, in those oral traditions, preserved in Talmud. In fact, some of our Christian understanding of Messiah and understanding his actions, comes FROM THESE TEACHINGS. Why did he wait until 4 days to raise Lazarus? Oral teachings said any righteous or holy teacher could raise the dead until the 3rd day, only God had the power to do so from 4th day. Why did He heal the blind man with the spit and dirt? The oral traditions say the firstborn has the power of healing his spit- proving His "firstborn" status of God Himself. The virgin birth is NOT explicit in the Hebrew of Isaiah, made clear in the Septuagint translation b/c of the oral traditions. The resurrection of the dead, also comes from oral tradition and understanding- the Sadducees rejected this entirely, thus didn't believe there would be one. The idea of Messiah having two roles, to comings... That, too, is oral tradition/Talmud.
Two questions. 1. If the original Church was Jewish where is it today? And 2. If the Catholic Church started 300 A.D. that's still 1200 years before Martin Luther.
Christians are Jews that believe in Christ as the savior. Jews don't believe Jesus was the savior. so, what is this guy saying? is he saying the first Christian church didn't believe in Jesus?? lol! why do prodestants want to rewrite history? why don't prodestants just search for the objective truth? and come home to the Catholic Church and receive Jesus through the sacraments.
Some of the information in this video is a little off. For example the NKJV is a translation, it certainly uses the KJV as its starting point (I.E. it only moves away from the KJV translators choices where there is a strong reason for doing so) in the same way that loads of other new translations have used existing well known and trusted ones as starting points. Importantly in terms of getting closer to the source material when it comes to Bible translations what matters in this area is the manuscripts on which a Bible is based, not the when the translation was done (otherwise we would all just read Vulgate based Bibles). The KJV stands accused by most scholars of using later texts particularly in the New Testament (hence the differences between it and most modern versions) of lesser similarity to the original texts. I am not saying this is true, but it is worth considering in picking a translation. Another detail is that we have access to a number of pre-King James versions, including the Geneva Bible, the Douay-Rheims and the Wycliffe Bible (though unless you go for an updated version that one is near impossible to read).
Good sharing. You show to what point we interpret the Bible from their world point of view and misinterpret the Scriptures based on the limitation of our life experience. One point to consider, the 'wise' men did not come to Jesus' birth. They did not come to the stable. They went to the 'house' (Mt. 2:11). How old was Jesus when they arrived? Under 2 years old.
We as belivers need to keep our Lord's Feast Day. we should not go by the Roman way Yeshua was born in a Jewish family and He fulfilled the Feast Days. Shalom
Thank you Dr. Stewart. It is amazing that the bible says that Jesus spoke Hebrew Acts 26 and yet people refer to other secular books say otherwise. What does it matter what other books say - if the bible says He spoke in Hebrew then he did, and when he was speaking to Paul he wasn't in a synagogue!. People who do not speak Hebrew or Greek need to listen to those who do and Dr. Stewart is one of them. Well done sir, keep it up.
Hey Pastor, I agree with you and believe that God has a plan for our lives, but I always struggle with the issue that many people are hurt, killed, sold into bondage, martyred, etc.-even the Apostles died painful deaths. How can pain and suffering, especially at the hands of the godless be good. Why are some chosen to have good things in life, while others pain and suffering?? thanks
the star of David is the star of Remphan not David acts chapter 7:43 will explain that star of David displays the number 666 look at it very carefully this man is fucking liar king David would never endorse graven images God forbids that.
There was no such person as king David. It was King Solmon's Seal (signature) The Jewish king, In Jewish history. After that the Jews kept on using the symbol to represent Judaism.
Sorry I have forgotten to say that It is pronounced as I.I.S.U.S (the 2 I's are pronounced as the letter e. e.s.u.s OK? for someone that doesn't know the Ancient Greek Language could make a mistake easily.
Sorry But, He is not in any way correct either historical or language wise Jesus In Greek is Iisus and Christ comes from the word the anointment one from the word Chrismos.
Finally someone speaking truth and not politically correct nonsense. Aramaic is a distraction from the language of the day - Hebrew. All the historical, documentary and archeological evidence prove this fact. It is only in modern times that Aramaic has been put forward in this way. Thank you Dr Stewart for speaking the truth about our Messiah, His people and their language.
as above so below the true follower of Christ would never let any symbols identify him/her our Lord wrote that command on a stone tablet and on our hearts and minds
Interesting that the English language caries all (?) the phonetics of the Jewish language. There are some saying that England/America are descendant from (one) of the lost tribes of Israel...
The Greeks took the alphabet from the Phoenicians (who were Canaanites, as were the Hebrews). Also the Star of David, though ancient, wasn't associated with the Jews at all until the Jewish community in Prague adopted the symbol in the 14th century. The Jewish community of Prague used a Kabbalistic symbol (which is an ancient Mesopotamian symbol, previously associated with Zoroastrianism and the cult of Mithras). In Kabbala the symbol was said to have been used on king David's shield and has magical properties.
I thank this man just don`t understand that you can find this star of David or this symbol throughout History. It goes back way before he was ever born. This symbol can be found in one of the oldest religions in the world, way before Judaism ever was. It can also be found in Hinduism, which is older then Judaism.
Well said! I think I know a guy you know . . . Jeff. He told me about your videos. I'm also the guy who wanted to hear your view of the Sabbath or Sunday debate. If you make a video about that, could you let me know? Thanks! :)
