Lord of Windgrace (the precon) was my very first deck, and the way I ‘upgraded’ it back then wasn't the best way to do it. I usually didn't have enough ways to protect him, and since my gameplan was to get my lands into the graveyard to play them as regular land drops from there, I usually just upgraded Lord Windgrace. But I also had a very very hard focus on just the landdrops (lots of landdrops but not that much value from them) and no real interaction, my planeswalker usually got focused and destroyed pretty easily. this is to this day one of my problems with a planeswalker as a commander. My health can tank an attack, but a planeswalker can't -.- Anyway, I guess I'm finally putting my hand back on my very first deck, and while I like my Lord, I think I'll go with the Soul instead. At least as commander. But there are nowhere near as many tips and ideas on Soul of Windgrace as there are for Lord Windgrace, so thanks for this one <3
@gutfriedvonguttenberg5614 Gladly!!! This is my buddies deck, and I have played against it numerous times. Having a planes walker for a commander is very difficult. Like you said, they can be attacked directly so that sucks. I am glad to be of help with this. It's nice that you can use the soul of Windgrace and then put Lord Windgrace in the 99. May the land drops be with you!!
@GamerInTheWardrobe Also let us know what contenders you have built decks for. We are constantly looking for decktechs on this game. They are hard to find.
Savage Order is such a good tutor plus it works with Skullspore Nexus... Which I also highly recommend as it allows you to double a creatures attack and gets you a big fungi dino when any creatures die. Granted I havent fully embraced the blink strategy for my dino deck yet... My ultimate goal in any single match is to get out Rexy as big as she can be (a strat that synergizes well with skullspore nexus since you can get 2 giant creatures out in a single move). I often dont get to do that which is why I probably need to embrace blinking more in my deck to help cheat out more stuff lol. Also Defense of the Heart is crazy good for a dino deck.
@@chelseavictoria3312 oooohhhhh rreeeehhheeealllyyy?!?!?! We'll i will have to add that do my next order then. Some of the previous comments also have some nice cards that I recently bought for this deck as well. Check them out if you have not already.
@PinoyHeroclixMix yeah I wanted to, but was not sure if he fit my teams. Ever since the Notorious set, I now have a spectacular set of vilians teams that these pei es will work on.
@promithian6074 I have checked in numerous ways and the concensus is that you can copy an ability with "activate only once each turn", because you're copying an ability on the stack, you're not activating it again. Or at least most everything I have found confirms. I have found a few instances that beg to differ, but don't really detail why.
@@chaoticbeagleentertainmentI believe you're correct. Pantlaza's limiting factor is that Pantlaza can only do it once per turn. Copying the ability is not Pantlaza doing it again and thus it happens. This differs from Roaming Throne which causes a triggered ability to trigger again (Roaming Throne does put another Pantlaza discover on the stack but can't beats can and so it only happens once). Copying creates another instance similar to how blinking Pantlaza allows you to do it multiple times (new instance of Pantlaza means new chance to discover).
@@chaoticbeagleentertainment resonator does not work, yes it will copy the trigger but if you have already resolved it once that turn the copied trigger will go on the stack and do nothing. it does not say it only triggers once per turn it says do this only once per turn. so you play a dino trigger goes on stack to discover you copy it with resonator, first trigger resolves and you discover then second trigger resolves seeing you have already discovered it does nothing. seems they worded it this way for this exact reason. only way to get it to trigger and resolve more than once per turn is to blink or clone pantz.
@xplod3r I have done a ton of looking and I have seen judges respond with answers of yes and no for resonator. No one has given a definitive answer, and even the rules don't detail this specific interaction. Luckily I built the deck around the ability to blink Pantzlaza anyway, so if I do have to pull it, then no skin off my nose.
Moff Gideon did works a LOT better in a multi-player format!! Star Wars Unlimited does favor a more aggressive play style and lacks a true blocking mechanic, but it has some capability
@spartana2z yeah I like the feel of the game play. The block thing is a bit disconcerting, but all in all I like the game and intend to work up some custome decks. Blocking wise, you simple have to make sure to have units with sentinel on them.
Monstrous vortex can be a very good addition, “whenever you cast a creature with power 5 or greater, discover X where X is the creatures mana value.” To note: discover is a cast, so vortex can repeat until you discover a non-Dino spell. This also means zacama untaps lands when discovered but not waking suns avatar as it says “cast from hand” My deck also uses Creatures: Emiel the blessed, Dockside Extortionist, Eladamri Korvecdal, Kutzil, Mirri weatherlight duelist Planeswalker: Quintorious Kand Artifact: chimil, the inner sun Enchantments: lurking predators
@rayward1998 funny you say that. It's on my next buy list for this deck. Yeah I took waking sun since it has that limitation. Also have ravenous t-Rex, hunting velociraptors, swooping pteradon, and trumpeting carnosaur on my list.
Something similar came up with a mimic dinosaur on that commander; and we decided it was too OP for that game. I got trampled by an army of 6/6 cats 2 turns later...
Been working on a Galazeth deck for a while, ended up with a bunch of cantrips but after watching this I think I’m gonna cut down on some of them so I can have a bit more gas, great video 👌
@Tyro_ Thank you!! Yeah this deck has some nice get up and go to it. I built this deck with the classic counter/burn decks in mind. It's fun and with a few good pieces it can really take off. Glad I was able to help you out.
@@TheSinZinDetta Thank you!! I do love some of the sculpts they have on the pieces in this set. I get so tired of the lazy sculpts that they kept using for a while. Gvie me some dynamicness people!!!
Not my personal deck, but my buddy wanted mana fixing and had it available so he put it in. Probably had a budget to work with and didn't want to spend too much cash on the better lands.
Many people still have spare copies from MH3 (like I do) and this isn't a bad fetch because it can still search for Hallowed Fountain (U/W), Watery Grave (U/B) or just Raffine's Tower (W/U/B). I personally use every single fetchland searching Swamps (Bloodstained Mire, Marsh Flats, Polluted Delta and Verdant Catacombs) aside from 2 on-color ones in my Edgar Markov, because I made it as close to mono-black as possible and I really need to see mostly Swamps and/or duals providing black mana.
I would rather run an extra blink spell than strionic resinator. When a Dino triggers pantz I’d rather have the 2 mana for protection since she’s a massive target. A good wombo combo with teleportation circle is Sneak Attack. Sneak the Dino in, get your trigger. Swing in with it and the. Blink it so you don’t have to sac it
