I have no clue if anyone will see this comment because of how old this video is but every time I ask my parents for any social media they say “No you don’t need anymore things on your phone” or “You can get it once you are 18” right now I’m about to be 14 and I have nothing other than RU-vid I tried and said everything but every time I even try to have a conversation with them they immediately shut it down giving me excuses that don’t make sense

it’s been around 4 years since this video was posted, i’m 13 and am sitting at home watching it now. i’ve been so insecure abt my leg hair recently considering all my friends shave their legs. i have shaved my armpits already and my mum taught me how to but she never mentioned anything about my legs. she is always talking about things like “you don’t want to be THAT girl who gets made fun of.” when say it’s the night before going to the mall or something with my friends. (she means abt the hair under my armpits) i would assume that means she’s fine with me shaving my legs since she does herself so i’ve been secretly shaving the bottom of my leg (my ankle) and nowhere else. i did this because when i wear things like trainers it means u can’t see the hair. luckily i live in a country that rains most of the time so i normally never wear shorts so i’m thinking of asking her next summer but i suffer from severe anxiety sometimes so it’s so hard to talk to her about this stuff. and honestly even just asking for period products every month gets me worked up soo bad.

I’m 13 but my mom won’t let me shave, because of her not letting me I’ve started a rebellion against it so I take her shaver and I shave me leg and put the shaver back and she doesn’t know. Im a friend of a parent who lets her daughter wear makeup and she’s 11yo. Full on makeup and I try to warn them of 1. Messing of your skin so young 2. Creepers on social media. They post all kinds of pictures with locations and I try to tell them it takes one weirdo to start stalking and boom, statistic.
posting photos with locations is obviously very bad, and i really do think that the child shouldn’t have social media at 11 if she doesn’t understand the concept of internet safety, but i don’t think makeup really has anything to do with this. as long as the child’s double-cleansing her skin, with an oil cleanser and then her regular cleanser, as well as moisturising daily, her skin will be fine. have you expressed your worries to your friend about her daughter’s safety? i wouldn’t worry about the makeup, but i would tell her that her daughter should not be on social media if she’s sharing her location online.
The thing is I rlly wanna ask her but I'm way too scared and nervous cuz my mum doesn't shave at all and she never brought up puberty and stuff like that cuz we don't talk about those kinds of things.
