Hvalen, thank you for sharing this excellently produced compilation of the Toronto concert. I got a ticket to this sold-out show on the day, and I am thankful I did-what a great concert. Thank you for the memories, which I appreciate.
Thank you for sharing this. Keane never fails and the audio is very clear, such a great sound and a great crowd, I love the sing-a-long and would have loved to be part of the audience.
Glad you enjoyed it and that you noticed the sound, I worked a lot on improving it 🙂. Was a great show and the crowd was almost 100% Keane fans, so it was fun.
Don't remember the supporting act, but I see the concert started at 9PM, doors opened at 7PM so I am guessing the support act played some 30-40 min starting off at 8PM.
Omg this is so awesome. Cannot believe they did this totally acoustic. I’m crying I didn’t find out about this on IG or other places. How can we stay tuned to this
We all hate the fake ones, don't we ;-) It was a great little event, plus it emphasizes just how talented they are, no tech to hide behind. Hard work, talent and persistence too (plus the extra ingredient of luck helps many along the way too).
@@PuertoVallartaVideos That's awesome !! If you can, would you mind sharing or exchanging for the full concert on Email? I'm very curious to hear it full, the quality is really great 😃
Sorry, but all I recorded is on this video. Maybe someone else? 🤔 (I don't like having to watch the shows through a cellphone screen 🙂 so I tend to only capture 1 min pieces).
Thanks for posting this... I think you've got the order kind of messed up (Kathleen - bridge, then Feels Like Lightning, then beginning of Kathleen).. was a fab show (that's me, front and centre!). Smiliest man in show biz.
Hi there, ha, you are there! Thanks for the correction! I was all confused when looking at the setlist, so much that I just gave up. It was the video editor that did not add the songs in the right order, thought it would do it on its own... not! Anyway, hope it's acceptable for the fans anyway. 🙂 Greetings!
Hahaha, this sounds more like you were thrown out because you were drunk as a skunk and not really due to your singing prowess (or lack of). I might be wrong 😂
Audio is replaced 100% so no worries if the audio is bad 😊 I can't download videos in 4K, could you maybe share them on your Google Drive? They look great BTW 👍 My email: hvalborg at gmail dot com.
@@SrSpielbergo there goes the first one of your uploads (The World Where You Live). I had fun improving the audio: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vSeqinBboQg.html
What are you talking about 🙂 this was 16 years ago and I only recorded the sound. / De qué hablas, esto se grabó hace 17 años y yo solo grabé el sonido.
I have always doubted that Gigo or Gichin Funakoshi would consider this a proper representation of what they knew to be Karate. I have sparred practitioners of this version of Shotokai. They were fluid, but weak, they did not do well. I'm not disrespecting what they do, I just don't see it as what Funakoshi was promoting as Karate.
I'd have a hard time thinking that I could guess what the Masters would consider or not consider "proper" based on my personal experience with a miniscule subset of karateka.
@@hvalborg I have studied Shotoryu/Shotokan since 1970. I practiced other martial arts before this. I can honestly say that many Masters that I've met around the world including my own Japanese Sensei who studied under an original student of Gichin Funakoshi mentioned that this form of karate was not recognized by many Masters worldwide. After the Master died Master Egami took his Shoto karate in a different direction. He changed many things, but these were never at Master Funakoshi's advice. He had passed. I have many years of study and students teaching in other states and no one can even punch the way they punch and if they did they would hurt themselves. Shotokan should somehow resemble it's roots from Okinawa. I'm not saying it's wrong, just different. I've been to Shotokai schools that are like JKA. Kai just means an extension of the Shoto lineage like Shotokan or Shotoryu. Many old time karateka, including myself call this type of karate EgamiRyu...
@@ra8640 An important part of this thread is to clarify what your experience with Shotokai karateka has actually been and if they are a representative sample. Most of your argument rests on that. Shotokan teachers have for many decades mostly been drawing water to their own mill, especially after the Master Funakoshi funeral ceremony incident. To think that their opinions are unbiased and that they would know what O-sensei or his son would, or would not, consider "proper" is, in my opinion, quite questionable and more importantly, not very valuable. Karate must evolve, especially as more knowledge accrues in the health and physiological sciences, so it's not a matter of IF it evolves, but, rather, in what directions it evolves When a master chooses a successor they do so knowing there will be change and O-sensei's choice was, I believe, the correct one.
@@PuertoVallartaVideos Your opinion is valid. I'm not saying it's impossible. My opinion is based on a majority that think differently, that is all. To us, this is not karate as a Budo. Thanks. Ooosss.
@@ra8640 the majority practice karate as a sport, against the master's wishes, so that is not a good recommendation right there! ;-) Anyway, once again, it's a matter of opinion and majority or minority, it's irrelevant. As we saw during the covid-panic the "majority" are normally just the well-trained sheep. Those controlled by social media, captured news media and stifled by government censorship. Another reason to not espouse "majority" as something good 🙂 I've always gone against the grain, a dissident, life is much more challenging that way and more fun, certainly. Greetings.
