I love Encinal Market! I go there from Bayfarm because our Safeway sucks. They have a lot of good quality products and they even bbq on the weekend. Sadly you will need a lot of $$$ to live in that particular area.
Im in oakland and im focusing on alameda. But the move wont happen till 2029. I must say the level of crime is not as dense like here. I call oakland a lawless city😳 with alameda's the affluent gold coast neighborhood, no mans land in alameda point etc. Intrigues me very much. 👍

Why aren't your video views and subscribers increasing? The reason is 1. Your video is not being SEO properly. 2. Your video title is not SEO-friendly, so is not reaching the right people. 3. Not using video and channel hashtags properly. 4. No video description is used properly. 5. Not sharing the video on social media so your videos are limited to your channel. Your video is awesome. Not sure why this was recommended to me but $1000 a square foot is insane, And the reason why me and my wife left the Bay Area. I love Alameda, Rented there for three years. But As teachers we could not afford anything In the bay. What’s so crazy to me is that you’re talking about relatively small homes outside of the bay. The amount you have to spend to basically live middle class, could buy you a literal mansion in most places. But it’s super cool you explained this I know so many people who have gone through this experience. The teaser price thing, just seems unethical, and I question the logic. Yeah the property gets more attention, And I get the value in that. but it seems like realtors just wasting peoples time. Most people can’t drop an extra 100-250k on a property with current Mortgage rates. But I’m not a realtor! is it for investors looking for investment?
Thanks for the comment. $1000 per square foot is a lot. Alameda has taken off in popularity over the last 5-7 years and prices have risen significantly since then. Where did you end up moving? What’s pricing like there?

Yes the weather here is great and nature is beautiful but there are predators here. Oakland native advice: If you move here and have a moving truck full of your valuables, save yourself the heartbreak of having them stolen by UNPACKING as soon as you pull up! If it's dark, even better, that way would be thieves are less likely to know what you have. Never ever leave your moving truck unattended or valuables in your car. Also, do not leave your house keys plus registration in your car while hiking or you may have your car stolen and house robbed all in one day . Otherwise, welcome to the bay!

Thanks for the note, Randy. Those are hard to quote as insurance is a moving target. Most people I know don’t get earthquake insurance as it’s prohibitively expensive but property insurance is often in the $150-400/month range. Do you often take the ferry/boat across the bay to San Francisco? If so, is that a simple thing you can do in a day? Also, how long does the ferry take?
Great question! We do hop on the ferry to SF several times a year. Mostly we go over for dinner or a game and that is a really easy trip. I know a lot of people commute via ferry as well. If you do commute, you just need to factor in parking at the ferry dock.
The travel from the Alameda Ferry Terminal to the Embarcadero Terminal in sf takes less than 30 minutes. There are other ferry terminals on the San Francisco peninsula as well.
