I know this is a long shot since it's an old video but who was the first team in this video? Richlands maybe? Also it looks like it's at Gate City but Gate City is wearing white jerseys and they are on the visitors sideline....if this is correct then why?

Graham Gmen football is the top tier model for SWVA. Glen Carlock had 12 state championship appearances in his era alone. They produced 2 time Super Bowl NYG Ahmad Bradshaw
State championship at the home team’s field, a field was frozen solid the night before then water down the morning of the game to make it muddy as hell, and local referees to give the home team a unfair advantage, the grounding flag that was waved off should have stand the ball never got past the line of scrimmage, the waved off flag on the snap over the punter’s head should have stand the center was down field, so the visiting team never had a fair game.
I actually went down to this game. I'm from Broadway, VA. Gate City was an incredible football team, and Jake Houseright was a monster of a player! Congrats to their win and the State Championship that year!
15 years later and Gate City has had a severe fall. Can Gate City's football program be put back together? If so, will it be put back together? I never was crazy about Gate City's fans but I seriously hate it for the boys. It is hard to imagine Gate CIty winning no more than 5 games a season, let alone last season's 1-9 record and possibly the same record this season, or even the unthinkable winless season. I feel for the boys who are sticking with the team.
djtrumpet11 we lost our size at Gate City we was always known as BIG BLUE for a reason but our football team has been small lately.. my brother said the GC's middle school is big and looking good so maybe the drought is coming to an end soon and for the record PV and Appy fans aren't much different than GC's lol
I also think the head coach we have at GC is a problem the players haven't been responding well to him I heard last season some quit because of him and he is from Graham hs he doesn't fit our culture I know we brought back Reed for DC so hopefully he'll be the head coach soon
Passing and ball handling is critical to make it to that next level for him.... his competition and teammates are chock full of white boys I want to see what he can do up in the cities....
