Thank you so much! I've made a few hairs using curves but could never get it to show up in the studio or the game. This really helped me to figure out what i was doing wrong.I really appreciate you sharing this with the community ❤🌸
Hey so I know this video is kind of old but I had a problem I was wondering if I could get some help with, I can't find anyone else who had this specific issue; my frankenmesh works completely in blender and s4s (no missing textures, UV mapped correctly - there's no visible problem) but when I put it into my game to test it, the part I added to the base mesh just isn't there! It works fine otherwise, it just doesn't physically show up in game. Any chance you'd have an idea as to what I'm doing wrong?
this sounds like a cut number issue, which is super easy to fix. in blender 2.70, like if you look at 6:45 in the bottom right, the hair that shows in game in CAS is the 0002 cut number. if you added something to a cut number of like 0001 or 0000, it'll show up in the different hat sections but not without a hat. so all you have to do is change the cut number in blender to 0002 and the other cut numbers to 0000 and 0001 so the game knows to read the "main" mesh as 0002 and the other two for hat chops.
it's so heckin cool to me that someone can be this talented??? also your videos really make me want to make my own cc one day!! too bad my computer broke so i can't right now :')
i genuinely didn't know that you have to physically change the mesh to make a hair hat compatible! You learn something new every day i guess. (Also great work on the hair--it's super pretty}
