We are insurance independent and can send a claim on your behalf to standard dental insurance companies. We have many patients that have MediCare and MediCal but they typically pay for their care independently.
Glad i found you! OK, I have questions: are the gold teeth solid or just a really thick plating over normal denture teeth? I'm looking into this because soon I'll have to get a lower partial of my front 6 teeth and was curious about doing gold teeth. I have MediCal, so was going to see what they'll pay for (most certainly not gold! Lol) but was thinking of eventually having a gold set just because i like the look alright and think it might be better for health reasons. I'm a little wary of what materials they make dentures out of. I'm near Chico, so not far from you. Any insight is appreciated! I love that you care about making them look natural. I'm afraid the MediCal ones are going to look like clown teeth or not match the coloring of my natural teeth.
Hi! The gold teeth are thick castings, not a shell. I’d love to meet you as a new patient. Our contact info is on our website. We are not a MediCal provider so you’d be paying more than at a MediCal office or clinic. But our quality is next level and our patients tell us all the time that they feel their teeth were a worthy investment.
You are wrong I just had this same procedure this morning. My teeth were in the same shape as his are they looked ok. If you look closely he is missing at least 3 teeth already and also has damage from him disease. I thought mine were ok until I saw the X-ray ☠️
Great Video. Not only being one your patients, I also had composites done to my front teeth to creat a smile I didn’t have or want. I’m happy for this patient and hope the changes make her as happy as I was after the procedure. I’m fortunate enough to go the the next level of a comprehensive smile makeover and would tell anyone who reads this to make yourself happy with the ideas and creativeness that Dr Chris can provide.
Very cool! I have considered closing my diastema as well, but it feels like it’s definitely part of me now! I would be very interested to see a rendering of what it would look like closed!
How do you feel about using these for molar endos? I currently use admetec at 5x and somtimes have difficulty seeing canal orifices (I'm also a recent grad so I'm looking to find any way to make my endos easier on me and my pts)
@@ChrisNelsonDDS that's the exact one I was looking at as well for molar endo! If you could mention your opinion on them for endo in your review for thr 8x hero loupes I'd appreciate it. Looking forward to it!
That is a good point, for certain patients the facial support provided by a flange (the part under the lip) is critical for esthetics ... so for those patients a non-removable option is NOT good... better would be a snap-on style denture.
Hi, I just got my immediate dentures. I had my extractions a week ago. They feel very loose and hard and don’t fit in my mouth at all. With this change over time? I’m 34 years old I’m not sure if this helps. Thanks
The fit of your denture is highly dependent on the impression taken before the extractions AND the lab technician. Even when we work with the best partners and do the nicest impression we STILL can have a denture that is loose. Be sure to go back to your dentist. They will help re-fit your denture! Best of luck.
My dentist did digital impressions for my immediate dentures. They said I don't need a wax rim or plate try in. Is that normal to not get some kind of try in . Figure without one they will fit even worse
Thanks for the comment. Digital dentures are all the rage and can be done well if the dentist is an experienced denture doctor. However the gold standard on high end dentures is to use traditional techniques (impressions, bite registration or Gothic arch tracing, try in and delivery). If your dentist is skipping these steps you may want to ask why. They should give you a satisfactory explanation.
That's how they made my immediate denture & it fit like a glove, I absolutely loved it. My permanent denture they did the old fashioned way & I swear it looks like Halloween costume teeth. They refused to fix or remake it so I wore my immediate for over 2 yrs.
I'm going through the implant process now for my front tooth (#9), and I'm debating whether or not I should get a temporary crown instead of a healing abutment. I'm leaning towards temporary crown, because it has the advantage of forming the gums ahead of the final crown placement, but I'm worried about the risks involved. Currently I'm using an Essix retainer, which is problematic for eating in public. I'm also mildly concerned about the cosmetics of it, since it is front and center, but I'm guessing that depends on the specific perio/dentist. I'm mostly wondering how risky is it to go with the temporary crown? Edit: I want to add that my perio says I can go to the temporary crown at 2 month post-surgery.
Hey well-trained, Dentist would have no problem making you a very nice custom temporary crown. The Essex retainer style temporary appliance is something that we do not do in our office unless the patient came to us from another office that already in place. Thanks for watching and good luck.
It looks so good esp the color i had something similar happened but I fell as a kid and I still have the root in my gums for some reason I'm trying to get an implant but my 3d xray says I have type 4d bone does that mean I need a bone graft?
I guess it wasn't just me about the image quality. I love that how it gets rid of my neck and my shoulder pain but using the loupes make my eyes tired really quick and also gives me migraine as well. I am wondering if you are having or have experienced the same initially.
I’ve found that I’m personally remarkably good at adapting to new things like loupes etc. I don’t get headaches etc. I am happy to trade a reduction in image quality for the improved ergonomic design and posture / neck posture. As I said I don’t think most people would even notice. But I feel it is important to share. Overall I use the ergo loupes (hero and DFV) 98% of my time. Very pleased!
@@kvgolfa ok gotcha. The opposing was a full upper denture. We did a bite index (bite registration) and I asked the lab to open the vertical to a specific mm measurement on the articulators and wax the teeth to that vertical.
The case looks great. More importantly the patient is happy. Your attitude and professionalism is exemplary. Caring so much about patient's outcome and willingness to consult with other Dentist's for solutions
@@ghassan111 yeah they’re very similar to having a microscope attached to your face. Just know that the magnification is not the same as an actual scope.
I would never guess in a 1000 years that these teeth are dentures. I have seen people with such perfectly straight teeth that are so obviously dentures.
@@ChrisNelsonDDS i love ergo loupes and the ideal of correct posture when performe treatment but do not seen surgeon used it. So i am doubting should i buy an straight or ergo loupes. My main field is oral surgery and prosthetic
@@maisajbin2954 I love mine! You’ll be happy with them for surgery. There are a few positions that require some neck movement that is challenging but overall I like mine! Using them 90%+ of the time.
What are the options or grades of denture? Im not talking about implants as i dont have $52,000, i have $10,000 and dental insurance. I have had some really rotten luck with my teeth. Both of my parents, my sister, and paternal grandparents have beautiful smiles and have never had extractions. Unfortunately i havent been so lucky. Erythromycin put stains on my uppers, that led to dental bonding, veneers crowns and now dentures. Im so nervous that im gluing my crowns in and holding out as long as i can. At 44 and being a woman i almost would rather die as vain as that sounds
@@ChrisNelsonDDS What if the new teeth don't fit after I have my real teeth removed? That would be a nightmare. I guess I have to rely on a good impression.
The current version of her loupes and designs for vision in about 5x have a similar FOV. I don’t have experience with ergro orascoptic. My 4.8x orascoptic TTL are a bit “closer” than the ergro loupes in the same magnification. Also TTL loupes have less distortion than ergro designs in my experience.
Could you please advice me on how to store the carvings year-long (have to present them at end of the year) ? My keeps on breaking even when I have kept a separate box for them.
Mine were not immediate, they gave me my actual one and just cut and grinned off what would bother me. They wouldn’t fix how it exceeded into my tongue and floor of my mouth.. What company do you use that makes that lower metal denture? mine is a bulky plastic
I paid $6,800 for my porcelain teeth dentures. I need them realigned and I called the office. She said they don't make porcelain dentures! I knew the dentist wasn't lying to me and he told me how to care for the teeth and what not to eat Etc. When I get them realigned will they do the same type of realignment
It's very common for people to be mouth breathers caused by deviated septum or nasal polyps. This causes dry mouth when you sleep, which causes bacteria build up, which causes cavities... I'm only 30 and have had half my teeth worked on! It's frustrating that dentist never explained this to me. There are some good videos on here that explain how mouth breathing actually changes the shape of your jaw. Please make sure your kids are breathing through their nose properly. If you brush twice a day for two minutes, like is suggested, you will scrub your enamel right off. Use an ultra soft tooth brush, as there is such a thing as over brushing. Also if you need caffeine, you're better off getting it in supplement form.
