Found this one after the newest tutorial was released, and decided to try it. So much fun! Thanks for such a detailed look at birches, some of my favorite trees.
I live in Colorado, so I paint aspen trees, it’s fairly easy to adapt from the birch trees.. Thank you for the great Vid - I enjoy your humor and casual approach to teaching…”Speckeledge!!” deserves a spot in the dictionary 😊
@@JuliaLisArt aspens have thinner trunks, growing very tall close together in groves in the Rocky Mountains. Birch trees show off the stunning multicolored leaves in the fall, where as aspen leaves turn bright yellow and shimmer against the brilliant blue skies. Both are beautiful.
They look like birch trees from here!😃 They did need that white at the end, thanks again! FYI The black lines on birch trees are called lenticels which are pores that allow the exchange of gases from the tree to the environment. 😊 This has been brought to you by a New Hampshirite. Birch trees are the state tree and our mountains are called the White Mts. because of all the birch trees on them. You're welcome! 😂
@JuliaLisArt NH does have gorgeous foliage. Everyone from MA drives up on the weekends to peep at the leaves. It's usually bumper to bumper traffic, as it's only a two lane road that goes through the notch.
You are so sweet and keep it real! You're a talented artist and explain the process to clearly. I love birch trees and fall is my favorite season for it's beauty. Like God's canvas.
I love watching your videos after work every night..I get home at 3am lol but its relaxing. I then save a few to try my hand at on my day off on Monday. Cant wait to try this one. I also like the fact that most are small paintings that I can stick to more easily. What size are these small paintings?
Super! For me, it truly invokes living on a lake in Wisconsin and those last cold frosty mornings in late fall. I could almost feel the cold breeze nipping at my face! I'm inspired to try it for myself and I will soon. My sympathies to you, little mama, it's hard when your child is so little and going through something. But take heart; they change, grow, and develop so quickly at this age that they usually pass through both the easy and the hard pretty quickly. None of my children slept through the night until they were at least a year and a half! I asked the doctor about that and she said that honestly at least 50% of babies don't sleep all the way through the night until they around 12-15 months. She also said that it's become like a "badge of honor" for parents to have a child that does sleep through the night, so much so that some parents are telling little white lies to other parents about their child's sleeping habits. And that can make the rest of us feel really inadequate or like we got the "dud" baby! I know I felt a lot better having the doctor validate the normalcy of my little restless sleepers. I wish you all the best with your child.
I have been following you for years,.. I love your work ,. But I appreciate your down to earth with sharing your trials and tribulations as you go along ,.. it really goes a long way with beginners that see that even the artists that inspire us have to trial and error their technics and you share your frustrations and emotions behind it yet ALWAYS come out with a beautiful painting!!!..
I love it. I can’t wait until I can go from blended background to a few details that result in a beautiful, inviting painting. I’m still at the stage of feeling compelled to add detail to convey what my inexperience can’t convey with color and contrast.
You paint such beautiful trees! Mine are getting better with time, but does the brush you use count when painting them? BTW you're so down to earth and real. So cool, talking about the baby and all is like getting instruction from family. 😊
What a fun project! Perfect for one of those afternoons when you want to paint something but have no idea what. Perfect warm up session too. Thank you for sharing! 🥰
