My father was a Home Guard person who was a GPO telephone engineer who was held back from the front line to keep people connected by telephone, and to put in telephones so that the US GI'S could phone home, and the AA gun was called PURDOWN PURCY. As for the BT tower I made a angle bracket for that tower when I worked at A MARSHAL HUNT in Bristol what a small world.
If your gonna come to our island at least google it and find out about the history first,its not Weymouth its portland and you missed so much more ,that inside there is tunnels and large rooms went in there years ago ,navy base went along time ago
This was A.A. gun points during WW2. My Dad was on the guns as a loader. He used to tell me the hit nothing but Bristolians heard the guns and felt we were hitting them back.
Very interesting. But the camera needs to be moved around MUCH more slowly, so we can actually see & appreciate what is there, rather than it just disappearing in a blur...
@@Seanyping Sean, the city of Cape Town has grown immensely since the dams were built and, as the population exploded, new water sources had to be found. There are five other major dams which supply Cape Town with water, the largest is Theewaterskloof dam in Villiersdorp. The infrastructure demands of the city are probably 1000 times bigger than they were in the early 1900’s . The mountain dams were an adequate source of water at the time of construction but have faded into insignificance. They are also very small and shallow when compared to modern dams. Google Camissa. Had the exact same happen to my Leon 184 TDi. Took it to a couple of mechanics, they did pressure tests and could find nothing. I spoke to a Polish chap who had the same issue with his Skoda TDi. He told what the issue was, and the solution. I tried it and it worked! If you don't take the car on regular long motorway drives the DPF will actually use coolant to help clean the DPF. I'm surprised no mechanic knew about this. I regularly had to top up with coolant, but after a couple of long runs it seemed to fix the issue. A couple of months down the line I never encountered the issue again. I have now sold the car and own an i20N but just put a deposit down on a cupra 300 manual
I took mine to seat dealership where I bought it and the had it for about 3 weeks and never had this problem again it’s been almost 6 months and no issues at all
@Seanyping hiya mate basically the car battery monitor system needs to be updated and the ecu need to be told what amp the battery is take it to a reputable garage or back where you had the battery replaced and ask them to code it in
Oh and btw by reving the fiesta slightly will pass trough more power to the battery either charging the battery quicker or giving you more power to start and idle
We did try that that a few times with the fiesta and we left it running for about 10 minutes, but it wasn’t powerful enough to get the Leon’s engine to turn over, thank you for the comment☺️
Just monitor the car from time to time. Does seem like the battery was obviously cooked. I’d say start it often even if you dont drive it. Just to keep it going bro
🤔 Due too so many electronics controlling all the systems in modern vehicles. You must keep the battery 🔋 fully functional and charged at all times !!. An absolute must, or pay the price....😮

I ask this because I don't know London but I will be there in the future, and I would like to see them in garages (those that can be seen from the street, because some houses are more open), and not just standing on the streets.
