Alex Reilly. Great. I wrongly inferred you were getting ready for a hair cut. Perhaps post when youvhit a hair milestone like knee length and then ankle length if indeed you still plan to let it reach such great lengths.
If it were me, I'd keep my hair, you shouldn't have to change something about yourself, the person should love you no matter what :D. Did she give you a specific reason why she wants you to cut them off?
Alex Reilly. She said my braids are at a point where they are way too long as when unbraided my hair actually drags a few inches on the floor. Not sure what to do as it would be hard to cut off an inch let alone both braids.
Yeah, I could imagine how hard it would be, my hair is too precious to me haha. It is a difficult choice I suppose it also depends on other things as well, like How much she means to you and How long you've been together, it's a really difficult decision. I hope you can come to some sort of agreement or something. I'll ask around my friends and see if they have any advice :D
Alex Reilly. No choice. I am keeping my hair. I have not been growing it this long to have my braids chopped off. My hair goal is at least another 2 or 3 feet of hair. I plan on having my braids turn back up once they begin to drag and interfere with my walking. We have been together 2 years.
it's probably grown about 3 inches since I last had it dyes which was about 2 months ago, I haven't cut for a while now haha, so far i plan to grow it to my knees we'll see if i can get it to my ankles :D

I have posted on your page before snd you have great hair. I need your opinion. I am a man who has ankle length hair. I am getting pressure to cut it off. I would like to have it reach the floor. I sm turning 50 this year and would like to have it grow another 2 to 3 feet which will make it 8 to 9 feet long. My question I am asking the long hair community is if you think my hair is too long or would be too long if it grew to a point where it "drags" behind me. The thought of having my hair cut scares me ad I have not trimmed or cut my hair in 27 years. I wear it in 2 braids in public and down at home. Any advice? Is it too long? Should I cut it off? When you were given the option of a kick in the shins your reaction was "A kick in the shins, ooh that hurts." I totally agree. I've been kicked really hard in the shins when I used to play football a lot. It really hurts. It doesn't hurt anywhere near what it's like to get kneed in the balls though. Not even close. I've been kneed in the balls once in my life when I got into a fight with a girl and I was winning up to that point. I was completely finished though after she kneed me really hard in the balls. She'd been taught this move at school in a girls self-defense class, and it was the worst pain imaginable. I simply can't put it into words for girls just how painful a hard kick or knee in the balls really is. You may see some guys get hit in the balls and they seem to sort of recover from it, but that's because balls are a target that can move. Imagine two little plums in a sock. If you don't hit them quickly enough and hard enough then they get a chance to move out of the way a little. Now imagine those plums are testicles. It would still hurt a lot, but if you hit them really quickly and hard then it's absolutely devastating. I can confirm this from when I got kneed in the balls. She was *really* fast, and I heard that she regularly practiced knee-lifts in case she ever had to go for the balls of a man who ever attacked her. To say it worked for her would be an understatement... If you miss the testicles first time then go for them again - it only takes one good hit. To see what I'm talking about, please do a search within youtube for the following words *exactly* as they appear below: Kicked in the balls on accident [ORIGINAL] Slo-Mo and then watch the top video which comes up all the way through. You'll see just what I experienced - the pain gets worse and worse and you're completely finished. Great for women I guess for self-defense purposes, but not so great for those of us with testicles though!

You're welcome Alex. I thought that I had to provide this information because you said you wouldn't know what to do if you kneed or kicked a man and it didn't do anything. I thought to myself "stop right there! she needs to told how bad getting hit in the balls really hurts" It's unlikely you'd actually damage the testicles if you hit them really hard, so you shouldn't ever be afraid to hit them for this reason, especially if you are attacked, but the pain is so severe so it's a great technique for women and girls to use in self-defense. I can't blame you for thinking that it may have no effect if you kicked or kneed a man in the balls, or that it may make the attacker more angry, because there is so much misinformation around. Most of this misinformation is from men who hate the fact that they can be so easily hurt by women, so they sometimes give out incorrect information to women. I can understand what they feel myself, but at the same time this is powerful information which could save a woman from being raped. Squeezing, twisting and pulling on testicles and not letting go of them until their owner becomes unconscious is also a devastating self-defense move. It actually frightens many men and they don't let women anywhere near their balls for this very reason, even a sexual partner! Many men I've spoken to have admitted this but of course they'd *never* in a million years admit it in front of a woman :-) Sorry for going on a bit, and I know that you said that you are not violent in any way which is great, but unfortunately there are some times when women have to stand up for themselves, and going for the testicles if attacked could be a life saver. Take it from my experience. When you get the chance to watch the video all the way through you'll see exactly what I mean! Thanks so much for reading and replying to me Alex :-)

For the first one, the solution is very simple. A bun., obviously. But what type of bun? Well, looking from your hair length and thickness, I can say that you will be able to do lots of bun hairstyle with it that only require minimum number of hair accessories with it. Why do I say so? As my hair gets longer, I'm able to put sometimes only one or two of hair accessories/hair ties in my bun instead of numerous amount of bobby pins in my bun. If you notice, there even a type of bun that doesn't require even a single hair accessories/hair tie and those people usually have hair as long as yours or even longer. Even my hair's only to my mid-back length now (much shorter than your hair) able to do that bun and I'm very excited about it XD Those people that need lots of bobby pins, hair ties and other hair accessories when making bun in their hair need them as their hair's not long enough to be tucked by itself. That's why they need those bobby pins and stuffs. My another favourite hair bun is a lazy-wrap bun that only need one hair stick, which I adore very much because it'll stay all day and will never come off if it's being tied correctly. Even if some of my friends mess with my bun a bit, it'll stay still because of the force that hold the hair and the hair stick together XD. That's why I wear my hair in lazy-wrap bun everyday when I go out because it's very secure and very neat too. Try them. There are lots of hair buns you can try out there and you're lucky as your hair's longer than mine, there are many more options :D p/s: sorry this is too long XD

Yeah I could never cut my hair I love it way too much :D I don't really know how much longer my hair will grow haha, but I want to try and get it at least to my thigh but if it gets longer I'll be happy haha. Ah yes my bangs, they're now down to my chin I'll try and show it in a video sometime, I usually get them trimmed so they stay about chin length :D
I see. Why you don't grow it longer to the same length as the rest of your hair? :P I'm debating with myself too on whether I should cut my bangs or not but if I cut it, it'll be quite a burden to deal with especially if it's not long enough to be tucked in my bun XD
I feel like a side fringe suits my face shape a lot more that having either full bangs or my hair all the same length, I would say bangs are quite difficult to style but if you feel like trying it out I can be quite fun to experiment with and they grow out quite quickly, but if you want to still be able to tie it back I would say if you get it a little longer than the chin, you can usually still tie it back 😃 (hope this helps) although it did take a while to style my hair when I had a fringe it was worth the experience

Interesting! But you got sidetracked while telling the story of the lady who grabbed your hair in the shop and you never actually finished that story. What happened after 'the grab'? What did you say to her and what did she say to you? And how did you get her to release your hair? A very strange and unsettling incident / invasion of your personal space!
haha whoops, I do get sidetracked quite a lot, she just said to me that my hair was really soft and let go, after that my friend and I walked away and tried to forget about it really. I'm not very comfortable in those types of situations so we thought leaving would be the best thing to do :D
Why did you dye it? What is your natural color and why did you want to change it? Whatever, I really like your looonnnngggg hair! And I think it suits you very well, BTW.
I only dyed the underneath of my hair, so the rest is still my natural brown :D, I wanted to dye my hair for a long time as a way to express myself I guess and blue looks really nice with brown, and thank you so much it means a lot, I'm hoping it will grow longer this year :D
