You totally should!! The water is layers of amazing blue!! I’ve yet to see another place in the world that has literally layers of different shades of blue.
@@labratacademy We flew to Houston (Hobby Airport) TX via Southwest and boarded the Harmony of the Seas cruise ship by Royal Caribbean. Stops were Cozumel, Nassau, and Coco Cay. If you haven't cruised before, I highly recommend it! Stay tuned for upcoming videos with tips and tricks regarding cruising.
Thank you so much!! We really appreciate your support of our channel! Be on the look out for a bit more cruising info, then we jump into Fiji a bit later. ;-)

It's so sad. I lived right around the corner from the "Painted Ladies" 17 years ago and it was amazing. The last time we we there, a homeless woman jumped out at Lauren and I and threw what I think was a sandwich at us. She ran in the road and was almost hit by a car. She was really negatively impacted by the whole experience. It's appalling what's become of SF. Somebody needs to change things!!!!
100% agree! Leadership (a lack there of currently) needs to change badly in S.F. and frankly California as a whole. Such an amazing state and amazing city, but are absolutely being or are ruined by lack of true responsible and skilled leadership! Everything rises and falls based on leadership!
Hey guys! Great video and super helpful! I am solo travelling over to SF next month and staying in Union Square. Did you have any recommendations and also any tips for solo commuting around SF? Like typically is it okay walking around on your own? Many thanks!
@@kurtisgre hello from sunny California!! ;-) Thank you so much for supporting our channel and reaching out! Even though San Francisco is not what it was (our opinion), it still has some magic for sure. If it is your first time to S.F. then you definitely need to do the "touristy" stuff because it actually is pretty cool. Tell me...what are your interests and likes? Do you like architecture, or nature, or people watching, or food, or eXperiences, or learning, etc etc. Let me know what you like and then how long you will be there and I'll give you some great recommendations!
@@TheEmptyNesterDiaries hey guys! Thats so lovely of you to reply thank you! So I am going for a week and already have planned to do one of the organised pub crawls, visit Alcatraz, run across the Golden Gate Bridge, visit Oracle park and hopefully plenty of walking! I am pretty much looking to just have a relaxing time and chill pub do like my exercise, socialising, visiting pubs/bars and going to tourist attractions so any tips is much appreciated! I guess my main question or worry is walking around on how safe it is as that’s what I plan to do the most!
We actually didn't get a ticket. We visited the visitor center - which was pretty cool. Then we went to other parts of the Rain forest and hiked around. We did not get entry to climb to the top....unfortunately. Next time!!
Hello Andrea! Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. We hope you have an amazing time!! Let us know if it was helpful to you and also if there was something we missed. Blessings!
Fun stuff! Chercher, happy hour oysters at the Old Ebbitt, salmon bagel at Call your Mother and Ben's chili bowl are definitely on my list. I also want to find some chicken wings with mumbo sauce. Did you happen to pass any restaurants that served them? Thanks for the inspiration-I'm going in September.
@@ourlittlesouthernhomestead4154 you know, that was one thing that we did not look into or were aware of… Chicken wings with mambo sauce. I’m a little bummed that we didn’t try those. After your trip, make sure and comment and tell us what you thought! :-)
Very helpful video. The honesty is refreshing. Thank you for posting. Can you share the name of the parking garage you mentioned? Is this a public garage?
The self parking is a lot, not a garage. It is a right turn down the hill from the valet check in. You can park after a certain time at night (sorry I don't remember exactly), and then move your car before 9am if memory serves. I hope that helps my friend! Thank you for watching! 🙂
We did not pay for the entry into the forest but there was a small fee ($8 dollars I believe) to enter the visitor center. Thank you so much for watching! 🙂
@@TheEmptyNesterDiaries I would skip the visitor center honestly (glad I did that last) but I love the moment to start going up you are surrounded by the nature and how cool the temperature is if you go early as I did and few people as well.

Great question! Because Larry can get a bit cranky at times. He doesn't hear the best at times and has a loud voice. He has a soft heart and is a good guy but doesn't do well when customers are a little entitled. For eXample....you only get ONE sample...that's it!! Also, a woman ahead of us was a bit snooty and felt Larry was being a bit rude and gruff to her (he just couldn't hear here well as she was a soft talker). She told him in a snooty way that the customer is always right. She didn't like the ice cream that she ordered, so he said I want you to be happy...he took the cup of ice cream and threw it (literally!) in the trash can. It was hilarious!! He then said, what other flavor do you want? I want you to be happy! He got her another cup, she said she was happy and left a bit but hurt. It totally reminded me of the soup nazi from Seinfeld. WE LOVE LARRY - He is a good guy!!
I think you can definitely have an amazing time and eXperience a ton of great things nature has to offer without a tour guide. However...I am sure they make it even better with their local knowledge and such. Definitely go to the visitors center, watch the movie, learn, and then chart a path and go for it! ;-)
Mt. Britton Tower is missing from this list. But, if you went to El Yunque Peak, that a good one, too. But any list should include Mt. Britton Trail/Tower.
Thank you so much for watching and supporting our channel!! That is a great suggestion! We never made it to Mt. Britton Tower...will have to do that next time. What do you like the most in all of El Yunque?
