This would be similar for a vehicle starter switch right? The posts/terminals are different in mine, they're sodered, but still very similar. I got continuity in everything except the starter (ST) terminal. Hopefully this is my issue, thanks for this video.
Hey Boss. I may have a hundred questions for you but will start with a few simple first:) Can you incorporate that screen set with mach4? Do you find that probe repeatable and accurate? How much do you think you have in that auto tool changer system, would you do it again? What do you think about that 4th axis you have (seen in another vid)
Thanks for the questions. This screen will only work with Mach3. The probe seems very repeatable and accurate. I’d say I have about $2k in the spindle upgrade give or take. I’d say it’ll be worth it. As for the 4th axis, I like it so far. Still learning the ins and outs, but it’s a good upgrade too.
@@RileyKnifeandTool Thanks for the info. Can you suggest what 4th axis you bought and what drivers? I have an Avid CNC and their 4th axis is just way more than I care to spend right now. I am going to keep an eye on you about that auto tool changer just to see how you feel about it in a few months. 2k in my mind is worth it. Are you going to put a home in place for the gantry to have a place to go get the tool?? Not sure if you have heard of Marius Hornberger or not but he made a great tool changing rack that I am interested in but first I have to get the conversion done. Nice job on that conversion BTW. That can be very overwhelming if your not born into that kinda field.
@@rufustoad1I added links up in the description for the 4th axis I bought. I plan on adding 10 tool holders, likely along the back Y axis. Marius Hoernberger is one smart dude. I do watch his videos. I love the spindle sander he just built. That guy is on another level.
So the blade tang rides directly on the micarta? Is that a long lasting solution of dirt or grit were to get in there? Why not use a thin bronze bushing there rather than do milling?
I just purchased the Klein 32500HDRT ratchet today. Looks like they changed the universal adapter piece back to the original with the detent ball. Works great now 👍
I got the 7" ones and i love em. Cuz i dont really use needlenose a whollee lot, and slip joints i really only grab to use as like say for grabbing a backing bolt while im tightening another one up front or just random odd grabbing n holding of stuff or what not. And combining those 2 into 1 to me is genius and now that i actually have needlenose w me now i notice things ir comea in use for. A pair of these, a pair of 180mm knipex pliers wrenches , a pair of 125mm n 180mm of knipex cobras, n then a pair of dykes are all the pliersn wrenches i need... They recently released a 4.5" version of these needlenose talongrips too for an edc version which i will prolly get too lol
A great video brother. I I have the 1/4 inch set and I love it. I will be purchasing your sheaths for ny klein screw drivers like the 11 in 1 and 11 in ratcheting. A great product you have designed abs at a great price. Take care 😊
The guys on the bladeforums thread will be pleased. I have one of the scraper style knives you made, and man that thing gets used ALOT. Nothing scrapes better than a fresh utility blade.
Ive always loved having more of the blade exposed. I use to modify these sliding scraper knives when I worked at a grocery store to pull out another half inch and wrap them in fuzzy velcro. Alot of holding the knife in our teeth while opening boxes. Recently got the oknife u1 since there was alot of blade exposed. The knurled knob on it is loose even if you crank it down with twin grips. Still useable but i appreciate the safety you built into thoes. You have taken that to a new level for sure. I'll keep an eye on the shop.
I don't think anyone has accused you of running a get rich quick scheme off these sheaths. That extra flip socket seems to cover what i would consider most common sizes since 3/8s can be a self tapper. Still love the sawzall blade holders thank you always. Im sure many people including me appreciate the great work you do along with the full time job. Your prices are more than reasonable for one man band products its not as easy as it looks. What would you think about a small electrical tool pannel to clip onto veto bags or pouches? A large rectangle with room for a fluke nvct some common wire strippers {forged knipex?} and a multibit screwdriver or better yet a vessel ball electric screwdriver. Just the basic 3 things for swaping out devices. I will buy the first one if you can make the right combo of tools as long as its under 50 60ish dollars.
Appreciate the comment. That’s an interesting idea on the panel/multi tool sheath, and something I’ve considered in the past. There’s certainly no shortage of options and possible combos. I’ll have to think about that one for a while.
My 7-in-1 flip socket sheath will fit the 14in1 and/or the 20in1. As for the 9in1, I think that might end up being too big to easily make a sheath for.
Have you gotten a set of tsubosan hardness checking files? Made in Japan actually they make some of the best jewlers files up there with 1k swiss watchmaker ones. 50 to 100 dollars and there plus or minus 3 to 5 hrc. Being a knife maker I'm sure you can touch up a roll from a file. It's about the cheapest way to semi scientifically test heat treats. Good luck with the knives I hope they fly off the shelf.
Ain't that life. If you have to rebuy things and not because it's broken or worn out your in trouble 😆. I think back to all thoea snapped knives on forged in fire because the lack of annealing and blindly trusting a rc63ish general file and as we know unless it's d2 or 01 it dosent like to be that hard.
Infamous means well known for a bad quality reason or action. I think you probably mean just famous or well known. Nice pliars, I am looking forward to getting some. Thanks for posting your video. The 7" pair here in Australia are $138 and the 9" are $152. That's bananas but I think I will buy a pair anyway. I'm curious to see if there's anything to the hype. I doubt I'll ever buy another Snapon tool. Knipex are much more reasonably priced here but it will be interesting to give these a go.
I think the infamous part is the high tool truck prices not any bad quality. That’s the only rift I see from people. Some mechanics will defend them to the end while others would never spend that kind of money. To each his own, spend your money how you please.
I got these of the web site, they were both in stock and ordered at the same time but came in separate plastic bags and was charged two lots of shipping 😤
I do apartment maintenance these are amazing you’ll grab these over most other pliers but the only thing is the cutter is not the greatest I would say that’s for solid wire anything else you won’t get a clean one time cut but for pulling plugs and wire terminals and water connections they are amazing my go to pair I have the 47’s
Been 5 or 6 years with mine they really are all that and a bag of chips. If you love thoes and your doing a mess of residential outlets and switches they make the installation pliers. The cutters open wider and they only strip 14g and 12g aka romex solid. If that's all you work with installation pliers are a dream to work with. I got them in insulated as my hot strippers buy any handle will do 👍.
Have you ever considered making a clip on sheath for knipex forged wire strippers? I bet electricians and people like me would be all over that. I don't see that company shutting down anytime soon there popular and there's nothing like it on the market. If it went to the start of dipped handles it would work on comfort and insulated grips too! 👍
My linesman pliers sheath actually fit the forged strippers very well. I believe I show the fit a couple videos back on the channel. I just added a few more to the website btw.
@@RileyKnifeandTool thanks, I bought one along with some other things. If you could make a screwdriver sheath in the drop down style like the linesman plier sheath it would be best. i would definitely order one or two at least. Linesman sheath is perfect
Hey man, just to add my initial feed back. I just came across your products and I have not yet ordered anything but may pickup the short multi tool sheath.. as far as the your requested feedback I think your initial thoughts work well. I would prefer the locking belt clip as a keep a dedicated work belt and pouch. Having the belt clip as an extra accessory option is an awesome add on,...but just a thought, is it strong enough that it doesn't pull off when pulling out the screwdriver. Anyways ... It all looks good. I hope to buy something soon. Mike ibew353 Canada
Nice thing about the screw cutter is you can use on any screw that will fit in the hole instead of just 8 and 6… I use them for cabinet knob screws all the time
ALL 5 prong switches are NOT stamped the same per prong, make sure you get a switch that the prongs are the same identification as your original, MANY THINK as long as the replacement switch will FIT THE PLUG then it is ok, NOPE, you may fry your wiring harness. Been there done that !
WARNING NOT KNOWN to many, Even though a replacement switch MAY FIT THE FACTORY PLUG the switch may actually BURN UP your wiring when activated OR the mower won't start OR you blow something else. NOTE: The Labels ON the PRONGS of your ORIGINAL FACTORY switch MUST MATCH the labels on the replacement switch, I personally screwed up a wiring harness thinking I could just switch out a key switch BECAUSE IT WOULD FIT the factory plug
