Showing you guys whats possible to achieve with your passion, and the will to show it can get done by your average joe ! I have too many project cars and i think i know what i am doing.
@@4WheelingSA I honestly don’t see why not if you ask me 😅 You might even be able to polish them out without using a cutting wheel if it’s not that bad 💪🏼
I've got a 2011 3.2 double cab. They are honestly some of the best bakkies out there. Imo just as reliable if not more reliable than a 1KD Hilux, they drive better and they are more capable aswell
The drive is unmatched if you ask me 😅, also, definitely one of the best diesel motors ever made too, absolute tank ! Very underrated which is what I like 😎
@@mohamedfarookaziz9290 Hey man yeah I can get them for you, www.justanswer.com/mitsubishi/6pzkq-mitsubishi-k77tyndrs-1997-mitsubishi-triton-2-8-diesel.html Have a look at this page and they all there 💪
Hey Man, thanks for the kind words 💪🏼 unfortunately yeah I got rid of her. Working abroad and paperwork was a bit of an issue, so not ideal.. on the hunt for another one though so need to wait and see what I can find 😅
Thanks mate, i had my bash plates off to clean the underside of the car and I hit a kangaroo. Vacuum lines busted off so needed to replace the entire actuator unit. Really helpful!
Please give me some info on your headlight kits. I also have a gen2 4m40 and are desperate to change my stock lights to the round ones like yours. Looks awesome!! Thanx for the cool videos
@@pedrodewet7860 Hey man, when last did you do an oil change ? Also you could just change the idle speed screw on the diesel pump, there’s like a limiter where the throttle cable goes onto the pump 💪🏼
@@pedrodewet7860 best bet would be to start it and then get a screwdriver and use it like a stethoscope on the timing cover and that will be your best bet
@@ihavenocluewhatthatmeans so I found it on one of the 86 groups that I am on. There is a company that imports the replicas in South Africa but I’m not sure if they do them anymore…
@@barnbuilds25 yas already talked to them but were still trying to ship it in philippines. Btw i already installed coil spring from patrol gq yesterday now im having a problem in front. I do have a ball joint spacer and a monroe shock only has no coil. Made a re index in my torsion now its very stiff do you have a recommendation?
@@creampietv4729 unfortunately you are going to have to wait until you get the suspension, because that’s the issue when you re index, you make the front really stiff..
I have a gen 2 paj (1999). I removed the ladder-frame from the body to weld it, sandblast, acidbathe, galvanize and more. I also fully restored the body, removed all rust and repainted the car in bedliner since it is more fit for offroading. I have always had difficulty understanding lifts for all type of cars. I want to use the exact same patrol springs to lift my paj, but wonder - was there anything else you had to change when lifting it like this? On the back, is the patrol springs the only lift you have done there? What lift is in the front?
1stly, well done on doing such a good job on the restoration ! I wish I could have done that. So basically in the rear because I have kept my rear anti-roll/sway bar and then my trailing arms are limited to a certain travel, the suspension was also limited ( still stock shock absorbers ) it was just a swap out then swap back in. However I would lengthen my brake lines if I still had the car. Then on the front I ran 2 inch lift from a set of coilovers, a ball joint flip and I re indexed my torsion bars, so I was almost on a 3.5 inch lift all round, then running on 32s.
@@barnbuilds25thank you so much! so in the back it was stock except the coils? I think I can/will do the same as you have done and try to lenghten brake lines.
@@barnbuilds25 thank you so much for the clarification! earned a sub. now i can safely order patrol coils and mount. some 2” lift pucks for the front, lenghten the brake lines, add a 2” gear-stick lift 😎
Hi, I have an identical white 2.8 pajero to yours. I want to remove the sump to check for any shrapnel as it seems im losing oil pressure. But you skip the part where you drop the diff and I cant seem to find it on your instagram. Would you be able to help me out?
Hey Man, my insta handle is in my RU-vid profile, but its @barnbuilds.za No need to drop the front diff at all, Ive done it twice now and I never touched the front diff.
did you have to remove the head in order to remove the timing cover? I thought the other day when watching your video I thought I may have heard you say the head needed to come off in order to get the top of the timing cover off is that right?
Hey mate I'd love to know you said that you thought the head gasket or something was cracked as you're getting over heating but then there was no issue you were going to advise but never mentioned anything? Was there any issue with the head ? I hope it wasnt just air in the system ! Great videos btw
Just be careful with the safari springs that you don’t blow the top of the shocks out when flexing it out as they’re not long enough, love the build so far though I have a 95 Lwb paj!
I almost installed the patrol rear springs on my sw 2.8 pajero last year when I broke both rear springs (for some reason, probably rust). I ended up replacing them with used pajero ones. but now I'm definetly going back and installing the patrol ones. with 33" (currently running 31") it should be perfect.
I just recently found your channel and have been enjoying it! You're a riot! I am also curious where you found the service manual for your Pajero. I've been searching the past couple days and can't find a decent copy. Any help would be appreciated. Keep up the great work!
