The VintageSewingMachineGarage was stared entirely by chance. Roughly 9 years ago, my class instructor challenged each student to find something they had never been able to do, but were interested in learning. The challenge was to see if we could create new habits that would lead us to keep learning the new activity. My challenge was that I wanted to bring an old sewing machine back to life! That machine (A Two-Tone Singer 301) is shown from front and side views on my channel home page. It was the first machine I ever restored and it was such a rewarding experience, I am still tinkering and restoring vintage sewing machines even after having overhauled just under 375 of them! My videos were originally created to help inform potential clients of machines I had ready. The channel has since evolved to a place where people can stop and learn about vintage sewing machine topics. Future plans include new video series on maintenance tips and ways to restore these heirlooms!!
