Is the kit something someone with good mechanical knowledge can install or would it require specialised equipment. I was interested in the Shotgun 650 but I dislike the all black running gear and rims so upgrading my 2020 Classic 500 would be a good option.

It’s a great looking bike, but I don’t agree that it’s a fine example of the SS, there are too many things that aren’t stock…where are the Speedline or FPS gold mags, indicators, shocks, instruments, tail light, bars, levers etc. It’s more of a fine example of a modified SS…

This bike , with the first incarnation of Moto Guzzi 850 LeMans was and still is the most beautiful of the seventies factory build cafe Racers...this is a fine example of the 900 SS....

I have always been interested in this upgrade. Now i am looking for a bit more out of my classic 500. Do you still have yours? Did it help increase top end speed? If so will it ride with traffic on the highway? I have carb converted mine. Do you still need the power commander? Oh yeah how is the mpg?
Torque increase is impressive. Top speed is marginal as it depends on sprocket teeths. Yes it has the power commander. By now reliability seems ok. Anyway I do not push hard this little bike. I just enjoy riding lonely country side roads.
