Why is the Narrator Australian? It is a Canadian company. A lot of people in Kitchener where English is a 2nd language have a hard enough time understanding Canadian English without you guys using Australian lol. From a business and marketing perspective. It's pretty strange you don't understand that concept.
obviously we know there is some kind of exploit in the subie system that makes it not perform when the wheel is turned however with that being said this is a very low tearmaz the car and it still performs well and the eye active all wheel drive is actually really good especially considering how old the CX-5 platform is 6 7 years ago is an eternity and car lifespan cycles
Cool. I mean I was gonna get a train to go pick it up next week but if you can deliver it I’m in Sutherland Sydney Australia. 😂😂 on you might want to put the steering wheel on the other side. Thanks
Thx for demonstration. Next time you demonstrate a Subaru use the higher model. Crosstrek has the basic features. I’ve own Subaru and I love it especially when it’s raining. Mazda on the other hands aren’t good on nasty weather.
In THIS test, was the Mazda in NORMAL driving mode, not a traction enhancing mode? If it was, the Subie should be in the same corresponding mode, thus Apples to Apples comparison. Just curious about the drive settings in this video.
What a fucking convoluted , complicated array of actions needed to do this. C'mon, this is 2023, streamline this process to make it quick AND easy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mazda DEFINITELY didnt pull the awd fuse out from the Crosstrek....nope nope nope! Come on, Im a fan of Mazda myself, but seriously, people are believing this?!
The Subaru x mode is not enabled and I think the test is biased to have had the case on my subaru xv / Crosstrek it comes out without problem probably to commercial purpose
The video is not true. Under normal conditions, the Subaru would have no problem getting past the Mazda. Only a fool would think this video is true. It's definitely in Mazda's favor. The video is fake
Correct me if I’m mistaken but when the front wheels are turned, the awd is disengaged from the Subaru, this is a safety feature to stop sudden forward movement into traffic??
The powertrain is almost identical to the previous model so after driving them back to back there really is no difference accept that this delivers power in a more linear manner. The 2.2L Skyactiv Diesel is on the way so that should be more than enough power for any customer looking for that in a car. The previous model got combined average of 8.9L/100km where as the 2017 gets 9.2L. Please keep in mind that we get on par or often times even better real world mileage ratings as Mazda is the most accurate brand for fuel mileage ratings. With such a minimal difference I don't think you would notice a change in fuel mileage between the two.
i really wanted to like this car but the lack of android auto/apple carplay, panoramic sunroof, v6 engine, hands free tailgate, rear space, remote start (not standard)...list goes on and on...It pisses me off because it does so many things right but so much missing...
Pertown, You will be happy to know that Android Auto and Apple car play will be available this year via a free software update done at the dealer. We also have a 2.2L Skyactiv Diesel coming in the fall that will out perform any V6 in this class. Besides Ford, Kia and Hyundai no other (Japanese) manufacture in this price range offers remote tail gates or standard remote starts. I say in this price range because to get those features on an SUV you jus thave to spend a lot more money and go to a BMW X1, X3, X4, X5 or X6. Audi A7 or A8. Yukon or Escalade or CT6. Tahoe, Suburban.RX 350, RX 450 the list goes on. Mazda's view on panoramic roofs is they add weight to the car, which contradicts everything they are trying to achieve with Skyactiv. Here is a link on Panoramic roofs that might make you reconsider this option after read it. Thanks for the comment. If you have any other questions or concerns I will be more than happy to assist you. www.motoringbox.com/cars/your-car/6-reasons-to-avoid-a-panoramic-roof/
Al Holliday hey great explanation, thank you! You made a lot of great points. although it is too late for me (got a platinum maxima for a steal), my sister is looking to get one for her first car! Would you happen to know averagely how long it would take to factory order and deliver this car?
pertown you will enjoy your Maxima I have no doubts there. They really are a premium car. At this point most dealers have inventory and should only take a few days from point of purchase to delivery. If she lives close I'd love to help her. Thanks again for watching our video.
I understand the back sets also recline. Wish you would have shown that in your video. Also, why did Mazda remove the cd player in the North American CX-5 vehicles....but kept them in Japan, Australia, and the European markets with this new CX-5?
Yes the back seats do recline. I should have shown this, sorry. Our previous Cx5 had fixed seats at a 24 degree angle. They are now slightly more reclined at 26 degrees and fully at 28 degrees, with 2 locking positions. I am unsure why Mazda has removed the CD player for the Canadian market however most consumers seem okay with this as Music has moved away from that format. Interesting fact for you, when Mazda tests the Bose stereo they use the song Stairway to Heaven to tweak the stereos Mid, High and Lows. In the past they have done this with CD but this time around they steamed it, and tweaked it to that. They also instead of using Stairway to Heaven took 20 songs from the last 5 years Billboard top ten and tweaked the Bose system around that. The format of how we use our in car entertainment is constantly evolving and Mazda wants to be ahead of the trends. Thanks for watching the Video, feel free to give us a like, subscribe, and share.
You can still tweak the stereo. It gives you the options of Base, Treble, Bose center point (This adjusts for a Bose speaker that is located in the Middle of the car to give you a more surround/concert sound), Bose noise compensation, Left/right, Front and back. Which goes beyond most Factory car options. All I was referring to is that in the factory they tweak it to get it to sound the best they can. Then give you the options of tweaking it beyond that to your own personal tastes.
Yes the GT does have the LED Front and Rear signature lighting, as well as the LED fog lights. Thanks for the comment, if you would like to see more videos like this one please hit the like button, subscribe and share.
