Kirby's comment was stellar. "Didn't like him anyway..." Jesus dude dial it back I was a child when I saw this scene and you never realize how dark that statement is until you know someone who's so difficult and then when they're gone... You feel the same way as Kirby, but you don't say it! You try not to think it...
That part in the movie where it turns to a tint of red shows that shit just got real. Honestly always thought it was a cool effect employed by the film makers.
I can relate to magnet as a character. You hate having to get up and go to work for a place were they treat you like a slave take you for granite and work you to death. So what do you do? Take it out on everyone and everything around you because like the magnet you need to support yourself and do the stupid shit no one said you had to be happy doing it though.
Im definitely modern day Rob. Not only do I have some old TVs and radios from his childhood. I have those "cutting edge" appliances from mine. Old IBM from 1987, Motorola DynaTac "brick" phone. It all still works too. And i constantly maintain everything.
8:08 Gotta love the Wizard Of Oz reference Blanky and Radio teamed up for. Blanky: But there might be lions in there. Radio: And tigers and bears! Oh my!
Kirby gave the screen a cleaning 🙃🤣 3:57 This movie is insanely dark, but I love it. I love Blanky and Kirby the most because they relate to me a lot 💛💚 they're my favorites and that scene where Kirby dances is hilarious!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Everyone talks about Toaster's sacrifice, but nobody seems to acknowledge that the rest of the gang could've escaped the conveyor belt at any time, yet they chose to remain with their Master (you can even see Blanky hugging Rob's leg). They were ready to face death with the one person they loved instead of possibly (provided they could escape the Magnet) carrying on a miserable existence without him. And that to me is just as beautiful.
After discovering the master’s presence in the junkyard, why couldn’t the appliances reason with the magnet and explain that they’re waiting for the master to claim them?
6:39 One of the measures of an actor is whether the audience can hear the emotion in their voice. Thurl Ravenscroft actually sounded like he was on the verge of tears when he was recording. Rest in peace. He's never forgotten. 😭 :'(
