Looks like you got hit by the targeting bug. Xenon turrets didn't seem to be working during the first half of the video. I've been struggling with that too.

Yes the stats look way more better. SPL ones should have +25% more dmg or at least speed, and they look huge. TEL & ARG look good while ARG have much more tracking. So TEL should have much more HP.
I think they will get slaughterd by S & M's, 2x flak turrets are to weak they have no burst projection on the enemy. M's are good interceptors but bad in the bombard role🥴

I am not sure, the old versions had too much turrets and kind of no shields (X-X3 BalaGi). Witch dreadnoughts do you mean? Asgard and Erlking are OP enough (my opinion). I would like a kind of Astrid designed as X3 Yacht with at least one S hangar🤗
Zumindest nicht wenn du den KI Piloten ans steuer lässt, genug schwere Raketen 🚀 solltest auch immer dabei haben. Aber 80km Radar ist nicht schlecht, und sehr nützlich.👍
@@Ronolein Sobald du die Sapporo geborgen hast, wird im HQ die Forschung Sapporo freigeschaltet. Nach dem erforschen hast du dann die Blaupause fürs Schiff und die Waffen.
@@Ronolein die Raketen wirst du aber nur an deinen Stationen auffüllen können. Ich hoffe man kann die, wie alle anderen Raketen, nur aus Energiezellen fertigen wenn man auf den geschlossenen Kreislauf (closed Loop) geht.

@@egoaut The combination of both. The color looks alright on flatter ships, and the ship looks good in it's original paintjob, but the ship and the paintjob combined, yeah that's just horrible. I guess there was a reason why Boron did not let you paint their ships back in X3
@@trainee5471, yeah...i made a complain @egosoft forum. Normaly the color looks great on non DLC ships...see my videos...with a little purple+yellow+grey, but that simple purple color is lame.
Its not pink its violett 🙏Normaly its bicolor violett/yellow, but lazy Egosoft painted all DLC (and the new) only violett😤 You only get this paint when you finish the yaki plot and clear the Xenon sectors around them. I still hope they will correct this. When you know my videos you see grey/violett/yellow ship paints - this is how they should look like.

Yes, i love the I's.🤪 The look and sound of these giants is phenomenal. Once upon i tried to fly with my space-suit on a sight seeing tour around an I, it was a great experience to get a feeling of its huge dimensions.😁

i usally only fight Ks with a 5 to 1 odd in my favor. Also in practice flying a fighter around an I and then dropping laser towers to distract the I's L turrets are a great idea
I normaly use S fighters against K&I. But to show the capabilitys of L's, i used 4x in these 3 test videos. 5x would be too much, i want to see them fail to see the differences better.
AI learned to keep distance, and these Xenons maybe did not have full turrets? All 3 videos (Sapporo, Phoenix E, Behemoth E) have the same save to start with, if you looked them xou know these Xenon can shoot😊. In that save i have a lot of Xenon in "The Void" roaming around. This was one of the Xenon doomsday fleet there.
Most underated destroyer in the game imo, excellent turret arcs, above average speed, mobility, shields, excellent main gun accuracy and convergence all while being fairly cheap.
@@egoaut yeah thats what i also realised, it might have to do with the 183m/s max speed they can reach which seems to be the sweet spot for the AI to be good when firing and running away

tbf i wouldve used a fleet of like 10 destroyers even before i attempt a I-class nad would only take on a K without me shooting out the turrets when there is at least a fleet of 4 destroyers. im actually surprised that the 4 sapporos survived that long.
My goal is to use only small numbers of ships to show their abilitys. Yes, they did a good work and its my bad that they had not enough heavy missiles🤫. Main problem was the broken formation, 2x Sapporo did fight the first K while the others take too long to show up. So they lost too much missiles and time to save the first doomed Sapporo.
When i got first Sapporo from Mists of Artemis this ship managed to destroy a lot of xenon's fighters even with heavy barrage missiles (very good vs swarm). IMHO you want use only heavy barrage missiles on Sapporo.
Things I take from this: - the total calmness from the pilots of destroyers that take dmg from graviton turrets..."Hey, captain. Should we try to get some distance from that thing that fire those red balls of death at us? Neah, it will be fine...🤪" - there truly is no substitute for L plasma turrets in player capital vs xenon capital duels. - the problem with missile turrets (in this case main battery that fire missiles) in X4, is that they exhaust the ammo really quick. The only way to use them effectively is with that "infinite missiles" modd, but in vanilla, zero chance Thank you for the test. About everything I saw, reinforce my decision to skip Timelines, can't find a single selling point that would appeal to me. 🤔
Odachi from Timelines is a very very nice M ship❤, i love it. Also the Shuttle😊 Sapporo is a nice Playership, but not powerful in AI hands. I mixed in this video 50:50% (230:230) light and heavy missiles, my bad. But its 80km radar range is unique, travel speed is ok, but 160m/s sucks😢. I will test it as fleetleader, i think it could be great for the subs, or at least as miner guard vs Khaak. Stay tuned, i did the same scenario with Behemoth E and Phoenix E (mixed tech). One of them did a real great job😮

@@egoautsapporo is literally a command ship. It will send its subordinate units to any target that matches its mission within its radar range. Give it one carrier, that carrier has the usual setup of interceptors, attack bombers and bombardment destroyers subordinated to the carrier. Have the carrier attack for the sapporo. The sapporo will send it out and the carrier will in turn deploey its own forces according to plan.

Astrid is a mess to fly yourself, thats no fun, it takes ages to stop. But its the best for dmg support parked on a M deck. Odachi is a beautiful ship with nice dmg, but not OP, i like it. I need to mod it a little, the paint could be cooler.
@@egoaut i have some paint jobs from the steam workshop. One is "Aldrin" all white. The pattern remains the same but the lighter colors of the Odachi become white. I like the contrast. Thanks for the explanation on the Astrid.
I kept one L beam on bottom, just for slightly longer fighter range & extra coverage. Otherwise, i swapped all those beams out for plasmas at the aft positions and pulses at the forward positions. Can take on two Ks and some fighter support. 3 Ks if i chop one with the spinal beam.
With 8 plasma and 8 puls cannon and max modifications you can fly in the enemy sector and go afk for 4 ours. Still fighting and you dont even need the op beam. Even I are no problem to this monster in afk mode.
@@Sebby23 current mod goals is to raise either the range, and/or velocity of my plasmas. After that, shield recharge rate. I'm not concerned with how slow it is. But by God this thing is going to be a force to be reckoned with.
@@egoaut I'm pretty sure the fact that you could not slap shards on boron fighters had something to do with your decision not to include them. 😋 I do have this secret dark wish that Egosoft would made all races take the exclusive tech route they took for the boron. The amount of....reeeeee...on Ego forums would be glourios. 🤭There was some small amount of that when the news that borons ships would use only boron tech hit, but not enough tears for my taste. 😈
To make the fighters kind of compareable, i took Tau Acelerators from Split...they do a lot of dmg and burst. Barracuda is such a nice ship and can load a lot of missiles, but with that speed its a stinker🤭
1. Certainly not! My Xenons are under my protection, their stations are under nature protection. 🥰 2. When i test ships, i do not realy need more dps. If an XL requires an M ship, it's not a good XL😵 But it had M (Jian) and S (Gladius) ships docked...i tried to use them to come home faster😅

Better buy all DLC's, its not for the ships only, but for the new sectors and features.🤑 Timeline was a nice playthrough, easy to get at least 1 star. And i like kind of Arcade missions.
@@egoaut I mostly care about new, beautiful and usefull ships when it comes to X4 DLCs. That is why I've skipped ToA, Timelines, and I will continue to skip all new Egosoft products that don't deliver that. And the premise of the Timelines was...you know that content that you don't like to do yourself? Like mining, trading, racing, and the like?... well, we are gonna force you to do it... I think most X4 players (a game having the appeal that you can do anything you want, in any way you see fit) don't react well to being forced to do things, while having to pay for the "privilege". And that would explain why on Steam, X4 the game have 78% positive reviews, while Timelines have 44% positive reviews.
Why Egosoft made possible for us players go to this locations, but didn't give us a single achievement for doing so? Only death, an this place isn't even a boundary.
Brings back memories of the old Skirnir class of missile frigates from the ATF back in the X3 TC Era. One such frigate fully armed and supplied could erase an entire busy sector on its own. Missiles truly ruled the day back then, if you could produce them fast enough. And capital ships had effective flak turrets that properly defended them from fighters and missiles, unless facing a barrage of them. The Terrans would do well to learn from this ship if ever they are to dominate once more.
So they added a khak destroyer nice! I wonder if the khak will start invading sectors like the xenon. I believe they added Argon and Paranid battleships in the beta too right?
